Cameron Dunkin is on facebook.
I sent him a message about 2 months back if Korobov was still fighting.
Some other forums people were saying also that Korobov had some illness and that he probably wouldn't fight again.
I asked Dunkin if that was true.
Dunkin responded saying that he didn't have any illness - just rumors floating around.
Said that Korobov would fight again in about 2 months. But that was back in May.
If Korobov is going to fight again soon expect another Michael Walker type opponent.
Korobov progressed too slow as a professional, regularly fought easy opponents (at least for his supposed level of skill) and rarely looked amazing in the process.
Stopped training with Mike McCallum a couple of years back.
Really no reason, until he can prove otherwise, to assume Korobov isn't some overhype bust.
He has his flaws.... but a good trainer can help iron them out.
Out of some of the South African cruisers (who at times fight at heavy).... I think Mwekassa is the most interesting. He took about Thabiso (who just recently beat Flo Simba).
Isaac Chilemba, Thomas Oosthuizen.... time for Mwekassa to make himself known stateside.
The hell are you guys talking about? You are wondering if Chambers could be losing a fight to Vitali and hope he tears his rotator cuff? Byrd was losing that fight.
It would be funny in the post fight interview if Lee would have said something like:
"You know, I'm really pissed off with how I performed. I need to something to build my confidence again... you hear that, Michael Walker?! I'm coming for you again! And you too, Carl Daniels!"
I just want to hear a boxer call out a couple of random bums after a humbling loss.
