I'd say Andy Lee as well but he should treat this as a learning experience. Too much is made of losses in boxing, which has prevented top guys from fighting each other when they are in their prime. As far as Lee in concerned he should get back in the gym, work hard, and use friday as a valuable experience.
Yes, Andy Lee is going to have the "exposed" label attatched to him now. Yes, he lost in a much more embarassing manner. But when Katsidis was almost one of the biggest winners of the year...I'm saying his loss stings the most. Andy Lee is a prospect who now looks worse.
Katsidis is an almost champion. He's a what-could-have-been. A chance lost. A dream stolen; he was so close. I mean, if HBO lets him toil in obscurity this loss could kill his mental game and thereby career. We'll have to see.
Very good point...I do think Katsidis will have his day assuming he doesn't snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory again!!!!
Not a good matchup for both, at the moment.
Duddy should better be looking for a fight with Sturm.
Lee needs to bounce back, he took a big step back with the loss.
After seeing Duddy at the Garden I think Sturm would defeat him. I'd like to see it though.
Has anyone heard or read any post fight quotes from Lee or Steward? I can't imagine both of them being ok by the stoppage as was mentioned by one of the commentators.
