From what I know, whoever actually does boxing as a sport in real life acknowledges that GGG is a freak of nature talent. In my boxing gym there are a few who think he's a hype job, but they wouldn't deny that he's a genius.
It was a fantastic fight night. Gonzalez lost but it was an entertaining fight with a lot of drama. And Golovkin truly showed his versatility, and how he amassed his incredible amateur record by defeating a much bigger, faster, taller and more athletic opponent who is number 2 in the 160 division. Jacobs showed incredible power, hand speed and effecting tactic, yet Golovkin showed great defence, remained unscathed all throughout despite seemingly taking some huge blows and worked his pistol jab like a master despite having a shorter reach. Would love to see a rematch, an idea in which Golovkin is open to.
What idiot expected GGG towalk through Jacobs though? As if Jacobs wasnt 32-1 for nothing. What the **** is wrong with people? According to some, GGG sucks but now he sucks because he didnt KO Jacobs early? No wonder why nobody cares about boxing with a loser fanbase like this
Lol there's always going to be bitter people like that. To some even a prime Mike Tyson was a fraud lol.
And it wasn't the usual Daniel Jacobs too. He came into a fight as a giant. His size combined with his natural height, reach and athleticism made him extremely hard to deal with yet Golovkin still edged out.
I seriously don't understand the hate for Golovkin. A very decent guy who is clearly a master at the fundamentals of boxing. There is nothing not to like about him.
Come on guys it wasn't a robbery. A fair fight with GGG just edging out with jabs along with a knock down. Kudos to both. And Jacobs have always been a fantastic gifted talent, I very much expected this to go the distance.
