I don't hop in often, but on the line about the training runs--as absolutely insane as it sounds, the guys at the Nakornloung Promotions Gym have been quoted as saying they run 20km every single morning during training camp. Most Thai fighters obviously started as Muay Thai fighters, who also are notorious for pretty high mileage during camp, but they then take it to the extreme at NPG apparently.
So yeah, I did round up 0.5 km, but it's still ridiculous mileage. Remember when Max Kellerman was talking about how thick his calves were in the first fight? That's why.
