There's a lot of people who obviously after an A sample comes back, we hear B sample this, B sample that. How many times has the B sample been different?
We’ve never had that, where the B sample was different.
No surprise there.
I wonder if VADA would even confess to such a thing as it would call into question not only VADA's competence but its integrity too.
That’s why he fights in Japan so much…double stacking is allowed there while it’s cheatin’ in Vegas while illegal everywhere else…this is like the third time…he’s been called out…
What a lot of people know as "stacking" in this forum and what Inoue was actually doing are two separate things. Most people here regard "stacking" as creating layers of alternating tape and gauze, especially if it's done over the knuckles, something common in sports such as Muay Thai. That, however, is not what Inoue was doing. Inoue was applying tape to skin, and he was doing so well below his fist, along his wrist. People do this to create extra support. Sometimes they'll apply the tape to the skin to act as an anchor for the gauze. Inoue was not applying alternating layers of tape and gauze, and he definitely wasn't making a Muay Thai wrap, with the tape over his knuckles.
In Nevada, you can't have any tape on the skin, but if Inoue had been fighting in California, it would not have been an issue because California allows tape on skin. All boxers have the same amount of tape and gauze they can use, so squandering your resources on alternating layers of gauze and tape would be an absolute waste and make for a terrible hand wrap.
I didn’t get to beta test it. It looks rad with ArkSys behind it. I’d rather have Marvel vs. Capcom 4, but this looks great regardless.
It was pretty fun. I didn't get to play it as much as I had liked, and I do think that some things could be tweaked as, IMO, it doesn't require as much skill as Marvel vs Capcom 2 & 3, but with a few tweaks, it's going to be amazing, I'm sure.
That I believe to be true. He will bring more boxing fans to the sport. Everytime he fights people always tune the fuck in. He is sports entertainment at its finest!
He gets a lot of hate, but I think people need to look at the bigger picture. Boxing is in a bad place right now. Despite all the money being dumped into it at the moment, it's not going to last forever unless the sport takes a big leap forward as far as viewership is concerned. There's a reason why many US promotional companies are floundering in limbo at the moment.
I’m legitimately curious. What background are you referring to?
I don’t dislike Mannix or Algieri honestly. If they annoy me, I just don’t tune in or listen to the clip/podcast. I’ve seen what having an agenda looks like, and they don’t seem to be those type of people.
Faitelson (TV azteca?) on the other hand has always had a crusade against Canelo and always downplays whatever he does.
lol You must be waiting for the release of the new marvel fighting game. I just got done beta testing it several weeks ago. What did you think of it?

By background, I mean how long they've been involved in the sport, with Mannix having been on NBC, writing for Sports Illustrated, etc. He's been covering the sport since the beginning of the 21st century, so I would expect better takes. His scorecards are horrendous too. On DAZN, I've lost the number of times Sergio Mora has had to correct him. Chris Algieri is annoying, but I don't dislike him. His takes are often pro-American or agenda based. As an example, just off the top of my head, he had been going hard on Ryan Garcia for testing positive for PEDs in the Haney fight, but he avoids the nuance. And this is even more alarming considering he has a background in this area, with a masters degree in clinical nutrition.
Say what you want about Ryan, but based on all the evidence, it's evident that he took contaminated supplements during his failed weight cutting period. He tested negative for months leading up to the fight, and then his last test came up dirty for osterine. Osterine, often used during the weight cutting process, is a notorious SARM found in supplements, especially these new ones being sponsored by influencers and whatnot. USADA even issued a warning about supplements being contaminated with it four years ago. I even know someone who tested positive for it after going to the gym and being introduced to some supplements by one of the gym members. He doesn't even compete in professional sports but had to be drug tested, and he came back positive for it. He knows it came from that guy's supplements because it was the first time he'd ever taken supplements. Regardless, the fact that it was Garcia's very last drug test that came back positive and not the previous other tests. along with the significant history of osterine in contaminated supplements, is enough circumstantial evidence to show it was a contamination issue. The test the day of the fight is when he came back positive (and the day before as there were two tests). That means that he received little if any benefit from the SARM. Half life is 24 hours.
That's a long winded way of saying that I would expect more from Algieri. And like I said, he has a tendency to be hyper critical of non-American fighters (minus Garcia lol) and very biased toward American fighters. Some of his comments about Usyk and others support this.
I'm assuming he had a legit training camp that included serious sparring.
Judging from those results, he should have known if he could sustain a "make him tired then pounce" game plan.
Simply running won't do it.
From what I've read, AJ was playing with him from the jump.
Again
Props for JP for going through with this on the up & up
Let's see if his next opponents are legit boxers.
To some extent. But a real fight is different than sparring. You could see him already tense before he even went out there. He said he was listening to meditation music to relax before the fight.
Then all those doubts start creeping in, and you go out there, and it's just as bad as you imagine it. The stress will make you gas much faster. Then on top of that, Joshua would put his weight on him. That's why his legs were gone so early. He couldn't hold the weight, and he'd just collapse. That's 80 percent of the reason why he had no legs in the end.
So it was different than the sparring.
People were saying AJ was going to spark him out in 2 rounds…AJ is a colossal puncher but he isn’t an unleashed banshee like a prime Mike Tyson. Lol
I swear…lol
I can’t wait to do the rounds and see what Mannix, Algieri and all the other boxing heads have to say about tonight.
You'll probably get annoyed. I always do, especially with Mannix and Algieri. They have an alarmingly large amount of bad takes considering both of their backgrounds. I've grown to like Teddy Atlas's takes again, and he's more often right than wrong on his predictions. I like Lennox Lewis too. I think Paulie is great. Ward is good so long as he's not connected to the fighter in some way, and Bradley can be good when he's speaking from the heart and not trying to parrot that guy he watches on Youtube.
Probably. Especially Bivol with his movement. Beterbiev could probably hurt Joshua but he's also 40. But both Beterbiev and Bivol wouldn't be pulling a Rigondeaux in the ring like Jake did. They'd actually engage and try to win rounds, so who knows. I wouldn't bet on either of them actually winning the fight, although I could see their winning a points decision if their plan worked perfectly.
A prospect at 175 like who? You mean a real Prospect or someone like Tommy Fury who has the talent of a journeyman.
Every Prospect i can think about at 175 would embarras Jake but i will say if he trains for the next 4-6 years really hard who knows maybe he could end up beating a 30-50 ranked fighter at 175 or Cruiser.
Good fights for him would be Tank or Shields.
Well, he's kind of stuck because he now has to fight someone with a name and notoriety to sell a lot of tickets. But if he's willing to make a big fight card, and having himself on there alongside a big main event, he could fight someone like Billy Deniz. Doesn't have a lot of KO power so Jake could come on strong against him.
I'm not sure how his matchmaking would work but I'd definitely be interested. He'll really have to train hard. When he fought a stoned Chavez Jr., he looked bad at the end, so he really needs to train better and work on his cardio. I could see it, however. He got my respect for this fight tonight.
Joshua didnt throw a single body punch the first 4 rounds........ smh
Man! Yes!! I couldn't understand it. I was begging him to throw a body punch. I couldn't understand it. It's a must when you have someone running side to side. It's rule #1 to cutting off the ring and slowing the guy down. His legs would have been gone by round 3 had he done that (or sooner).
You're exactly right but these morons on here are full of excuses as to why Joshua didn't KO Jake in the first minute of the first round. These dumb asses never learn. Every fight is fake to them. Conspiracy theories abound for these idiots.
Absolutely. Sad mothersf'rs. These are the Q'anon conspiracy freaks that are terminally online and have lost touch with reality. And it probably doesn't help that they have the brain of a goldfish.
you don't know s****t about boxing. lol
Bro, you're stupid. You don't get a broken jaw by faking it. But keep doing you. I imagine life is hard for you considering you have the brain the size of a pea.
I'd like to see Jake Paul fight again. He's good enough now to fight some of these guys in light heavy or cruiserweight (some of these prospects). He'll probably try to put himself in a contender position, and I think he brings a lot to boxing. WE NEED MORE EYES ON THE SPORT SO WE CAN GET MORE FANS.
Hey ... Haters are going to hate, but Jake Paul did himself proud. He had a plan—the only plan that would allow him to survive—and he executed that plan. He showed that he's a better boxer than these MMA guys, and for someone with his background, I think had he devoted himself to the sport, he could have been a contender at the very least in light heavy or cruiserweight.
Ya’ll idiots. This isn’t fixed. Paul has tried his damndest to not engage and has no spent all his gas. He’s spent all his energy five rounds in…Paul is getting KOD
Exactly.
what about that ******* thin limey itch singing the limey anthem
skye bishop?
Fucking hot man. Hot face, hot body and hot voice. I'm getting her music right now on my phone too.
She's still with Top Rank.
YDKSAB
I see. But I don't think you know what YDKSAB means because knowing Poncher's employment contracts has nothing to do with boxing. FYI. Regardless, when she was with ESPN and Top Rank, she never went to other networks or promotional companies.
