I never saw a guy slide out of the ring like that, but the ref wasn't fazed. He asked Foster if he did it on purpose and Foster said it was an accident. The ref said he just wanted to make sure. No harm no foul, I guess.
Why would Charley fight on a free card? How does that affect his bottom line? Killing giants will do it. A near miss has Charley in the news. Loma scalp would make him a household name. Besides, who else brings as much as Loma and he's an effing old man to boot.
I remember when they had a red light in the corner that lit up at the 10 second mark end of round and 10 second left in the corner. I dont see why LED lights can't be used.
What in the world was he doing down there? Winning the fight? That's why they call them the championship rounds. It's not how you start, it's how you finish.
I hate seeing great fighters turn into yes men. Yes Timmy, you're the best. Yes Timmy, all you need is my guiding hand. Yes Timmy, you can beat washed Spence. YES Timmy, YES Timmy. Get off your knees and tell him some truth or dont tell him anything at all. Fenech is telling Tim how good he is and Tim is getting the stuffing beat out of him.
Kind of ironic that gloves are designed to protect the hands. Attached thumbs and such are modern developments restricting the full use of the glove. Bare knuckle is kind of less risky because gloves are in effect weapons. I cant say I agree with more damage after a pro boxing career, im not sure its worth it.
Yeah but Boots passes the eye test for me. He has everything in his tool box such as speed, explosiveness, footwork, and he controls the center of the ring. Zayas hasn't really beaten anyone noteworthy either so. I'm glad at the top dogs at 154 are finally fighting and it's about d a m n time. Hopefully this will get Ortiz, Madrimov, J Kelly, and Murtazaliev in the ring with each other sooner than later.
Boots passed the eye test before he signed with Eddy. He was a rising star then. Eddys gonna show us how to milk a bull.
This fight will not happen anytime soon. Bam is waiting for Inoue to get old, same as Bivol waited for Beterbiev and still lost the 1st fight.
I get the impression Naoya is running out the clock. He's waiting for Bam to eat a few more of those juicy Lucy burritos. Not one featherweight name is mentioned, not since Ball was wrecked. Is the hunger gone?
He fits the plan of fighting Mosses ................ that is the whole point of this fight was to set things up.....
I agree. It seems like Dave was a loss leader sort of deal. I can't see this being the end game.
Paddy has Eddy in a pickle. Eddy sent him into the lion's den because Paddy was becoming a liability. Now Eddy has to milk this situation. From overachieving to underwhelming one fight to the next.
Hrgovic showed he is on a different level. Itauma will give him a stiffer opposition.
Hrgovic looked stiff and still had Dave surrounded. He was clubbing a heavy bag. This isn't the sort of win to build too much confidence. Ground level.
Zayas has two titles for beating unknown title holders. A vacant title beating an unknown Mexican and a second title beating an unknown African. Is there a name on either of their records? Other than 13 fight wonder boys?
Looking good with another natural super middleweight at cruiserweight isn't the same as facing and beating a natural cruiserweight (Opetaia) or better yet, a natural cruiserweight fitted by years, to heavyweight (Usyk).
Go for it. Opetaia or better yet Usyk. Benny has everybodies attention. Might as well defy gravity. Benn got 15 mil for Prograis, Usyk has to be worth multiples of that.
This guy has 3 or 4 things working against him. First off I never heard of him. Second Australia is a hard out. Third he isn't the favorite. Nik needs to get some of this on the road.
I cant think of anybody, at this time under heavy weight to beat Benevides. Opetai looks slow in comparison. If Benevidez can operate at 175, move back down, that might be a trick he can pull.
