Yeaaah... Everyone knows he is a ducker (ducking the best fighters in his weight class). He can talk all that shit about being the best of all time but people who actually watch the sport know better.
Only thing he's gonna be ducking is the ropes when he comes in the ring...after that he's gonna eat many punches.
Damn can someone knock out Chris Brown!!
Merchant really knows boxing and I enjoy his commentary (self important as he is)....but I have to say that I find his bias to be extremely unprofessional.
Yes they guy knows his boxing. The guy's been working for HBO for so long...he can do whatever he wants and say whatever he wants...
yeah, and he doesn't even try to hide that fact either. Its pretty clear for everyone to see, but yet again, Floyd made him look silly.
Gotta love him
He's a fraud, we saw that against an old lightweight. Vargas was doin way better at his age. Same thing for Amir khan.
alvarez = sotokarass
:lame::gives:
its victor terrazas
anyway he would have to go to japan and i doubt a home fighter like him does that
i mean i know noshiaki its tough but i doubt he would go to uk
I guess your right. I just think that the fight would make more money in England.
Only seen him KO Johhny Gonzalez so i dont know much about him, Munroe will have trouble with someone who can control space & distance though, its like the poster Shadows said, unless he is in your face unloading he is not that effective.
Plus that he's a slow starter maybe it can hurt him.
This guy will go places in the future of boxing, he has some real swagger about him and great ability. He is young, fresh, hungry and i really wouldn't be surprised if he was to be the next 'BIG' name in boxing. I'll be keeping an eye on him in the future.
I agree with you. Golden Boy have in mind already that he is the next mexican superstar. I wonder who he will fight next?? But i was amazed at this technique and skills at the age. You know that he's been boxing all of his life.
yea the guy is a warrior; he got rocked seriously in the first i even thought he was going down; but came back and schooled Cotto.
he got a new fan!
If Cotto would of been more aggressive during that exchange, I think that he could of won the fight but he gave him time to clear his head.:blackeye:
I really thought it was over, his legs were gone but WOW the mannor in the way he came back out and fighting showed real heart. He's fast, intelligent, has good movement and this is what 19 years of age? This guy will be a real force in the future im sure of it
What can we say, the guy is mexican..their all like that!!:trink26:
Could do, look at the trouble he was having with Terrazas when he controlled distance, i reckon if Terrazas had not capitulated so easy he very well may have won.
Just finished watching the Johny Gonzalez fight. I think that he's gonna give him some trouble. This guy seems faster and stronger then the fighters on the European level. This will be an interesting fight.
He does belong on the list but I would say that he is at number 9-10 spot at the moment. I will say that Martinez is the Ring middleweight champion tho:headbang:
They are both talented fighters. I think that the whole Fighting for Haiti, Berto will be more emotional and will fight with more heart and energy...adding good pressure on Quintana. But any fighter is a dangerous fighter so who knows!!
Can't believe that Clottey didn't take any chances. I would lay it on the line the last round, if i didnt win i would of gotten knocked out trying!!!
Wonder who will be his rebound fight??
Its his trainer Teddy Atlas that demands that Wlad undergoes some drug test. Teddy gave a big speech about drug testing and said that in a fight he wanted his fighter and the opponent undergo drug testing during the preparation of the fight.
It's just too risky for Hopkins to fight Dawson. If he loses, people might look down at him like he's finished and if he wins, Dawson is not a marketable name so it wont make big difference. The comon HBO fan dosent know Dawson.
come on man..why are these 2 clowns are fighting again?you know better than that schaefer..
Start watching Curling buddy:lame:
There first fight was awesome but a rematch is totally pointless.
Marquez already decisively knocked him out and i personally think Diaz hasn't been the same since.
I expect Marquez to notch another knockout win and it will probably be earlier this time.
I think that Diaz will be ready for this fight and will be ready to give marquez a beating. Plus its a mexican fight so get ready for another war!!
I don't want to see this fight, there are plenty of opponents for Marquez at 135, blah.
I agree, I guess that the managment team thinks that they will make the same kind of money then the last fight and most people will tune in because it is rematch of the fight of year 2009. The marketing team now needs to hype this one up and you'l see everyone talking about it.
Great first fight but this fight is pointless. Juan's management team is failing him big time
How can this be pointless...the two fighters are gonna get payed and we're gonna see some great action:boxing: I think that its a great second oppertunity for Diaz to get back at where he was before the first fight.
a povetkin-adamek fight would be great in the meantime
interesting matchup but i think that Adamak - Haye would be a better fight.
Two best combination punchers at HW
Simiar size
high workrates
no quit in either guy
i think it would produce the most exciting fight at HW out of any possible matchup. Don't think it'll happen though, adamek will probably push for standing in the WBA and Povetkin is set in the IBF
Damek vs Haye before the big fight..but i dont think that it will happen this summer.
