Because of CHEATo's loaded gloves and having to resort to low blows when he was almost out.
Was it ever proven that Tito's gloves were loaded that night? And, yes, I remember the low blows -- which really jacked up Vargas. Do you think the low blows could have changed him as a fighter?
Was he not the same? He lost to good fighters. He fought well against Oscar De La Hoya.
He really wasn't the same fighter post Trinidad. He never showed the same speed, power, and chin. Something happened to him in the fight with Trinidad. But what exactly happened? Like, specifically?
I talked to Vargas on my recent trip to Vegas about his fight with Tito. He told me that Tito's punches felt like baseball bats and that it was really suspect. Said he only remembers fragments of the fight. He also recalls Tito's people DENYING Vargas team to check his hand wrapping before the fight. I plan on going to Vegas this year again and hopefully I'll record it. It was a very interesting conversation, dude is cool as ****.
Holy s***! Is Vargas serious? So what's the truth behind Tito's hand wraps? Do you think it was plaster?
He also recalls Tito's people DENYING Vargas team to check his hand wrapping before the fight.
That is very shady of Trinidad and his camp if what Vargas said is true. The athletic commission should have seen that as a red flag and double-checked Trinidad's wraps.

That sounds cool. I would like to hear his side of the story. Then you should interview Trinidad after to get both sides of the story.
But a sit down with Vargas based on that fight alone is worth an entire in depth interview. I love behind the scenes stories like those.
That would be awesome.
So what do you think happened to Vargas? Why wasn't he the same guy? He never showed the same skills and ability to take a punch after the Trinidad fight. So do you think it was the hand wraps? Besides that, what was it?
He suffered neurological damage against Trinidad. Fernando was damaged goods and each successive match going forward accelerated his decline. His punch resistance fell off the table, his ring IQ plunged twenty five points and his balance was never the same.
He went from being an extremely sturdy, clever, stabilized fighter to a guy who would get hurt and/or rocked infinitely more easily and was far less educated about his approach. He would have "drunken" mental lapses constantly.. He would freeze in the red zone. It was extremely painful to watch.
Whoa, what is that? and what does that mean? Is that something that can't heal?
Damn, that's crazy. Are there any other reasons he wasn't the same fight, you think?
Ever got your ass kicked before?? ever seen a bully who beats up everyone then finally gets his ass kicked??
Hmm, good analogy. So do you think it was more of a psychological thing for Vargas? What do you think?
Ever got your ass kicked before??
I've dished out more ass whoopings than taken them but yes I have got my ass kicked. It's terrifying. I was getting mauled and muscled around. I used all my strength yet I couldn't get the guy off me. He almost choked me out. I somehow got out of it; he must have gassed. I seriously thought I was going to get choked out. It's very scary. But I lived. I'm not sure that would have changed me if I was a professional fighter though.
Vargas would have knocked out Tito if wasn't for getting low blowed. That was bullsh1t.
I'm still a fan of Tito, but I lost some respect for him after that fight.
I lost respect for him as well.
You guys, wasn't the low blow from Trinidad just a veteran move?
On a similar note, did either one of you lose respect for Danny Garcia? He was also throwing low blows against Lucas Matthysse. Garcia had veteran boxer Bernard "The Alien" Hopkins teaching him veteran tactics like the not-so-accidental headbutt, holding, and the low blow (probably not that one). Thoughts?
cause that extra padding that homie had in his gloves combined withthose laced left hooks on vargaz jaw put an end to him,
once ur jaw is cracked thats it,u can patch that sh*t but the integrity will always remane the same, brokenn
So are you saying it was mainly a jaw problem? Is that the only reason he was never the same fighter from then on, or are there more reasons?
Because... "he was too green" and and and...his PEDs shipment got canceled tho.
Tito fck his life up.
Raped.
round ONE...10 seconds into the fight... FIRST punch Tito landed... Vargas almost died.
Hmm, that seems like an exaggeration. Yes, Vargas got caught but I remember him weathering the storm and coming back to drop Trinidad himself.
What is it? AKA Traumatic Brain Injury. Other reasons? IDK, he might have secretly been sniffing paint in the locker room before every fight after Trinidad. That's also a possibility.
LMAO :lol1: ___________
Hey what's up with you people propping up the dead at their wakes? The fuck kind of morbid sicko's are you people? Have some respect for your dead.
(lol at this one)
These are just a few that I saw, there are more.
Whoa, what the f***?!
Damn was just looking at the first 4 rounds, those 2 low blows from Trinidad were no joke.
How would you describe those two low blows? What do you think they felt like, especially considering they came from a puncher like Trinidad?
Yeah that second low blow changed the course of the fight. The momentum was on Vargas side, that took all the air out of him since it was the second one. Vargas seemed reluctant after that, despite having a very good round 3 and 4 momentum before the low blow.
Do you think that second low blow stayed with him for the rest of his life?
