Wow, I see that the tide has turned on James Toney. A few years ago it was all accolades no it that trash talkin', washed up, fat sweaty guy who talks too much.
I was told awhile ago by somebody in the know that James was broke, he blew it all or made bad investments or whatever. Thats the only reason that I believe he stepped into the octagon to disgrace himself.
As for the trash talking, well that's just James. He is a funny guy but he never knew when to stop. Back when he was middleweight champ he used to continually badger me. We fought on the same amatuer team and we were cool. He wins the title and all of a sudden we change. Jackie told me that James was always jealous of me and that was why he always was on my case. When you can't fight your way into a big fight the next best thing is to talk your way into one.
James was a great fighter but his time has come. I hope that he hangs up the gloves before doing more damage to an extremely successfull career..........Rockin':boxing:

To me its easy, Jack Johnson...you cant even call what he was doing in the ring boxing in my opinion. It was wrestling with big gloves while standing up. Just watch a fight...thank god 90% of videos fast forward and skip rounds that were just one big clinch, but seriously, Wlad looks as entertaining as Evel Knievel on meth, jumping over a building on a chopper while a naked **** star sits in front of him and Ben Roethlisburger is holding on in the b1tch seat compared to Jack Johnson. Yet, you continuously see Johnson being brought up as some amazingly great hw who would destroy the Kltischko's....dude wasnt even a boxer. In fact pre-Louis most of those guys were pretty boring if you ever sit down and really watch them. Ill give you that since Liston, Wlad might have the least amount of "excitable" moments in his HW championship fights, but thats because he's just that good. No, Buster Douglas moments here. He is very comparable to Lewis in my opinion, only difference is Lewis fought more guys with buildup around their names...not necessarily better guys, but more guys like a faded mike tyson and such.
But to say Wlad is the most boringest hw champ kind of skims over the real issue, boxing as a sport has been deemed more and more boring. Part of it is it is no longer mainstream. Fights are somewhat less important. Does anyone at your work today know or care who won Bradley vs. Alexander? No one at mine does. The fighters fight less now so there are less exciting moments in a year for a fighter, and since the atmospheres arent the same, much has changed. Seriously though, you put wlad against any one of the names on the list...you really think it wouldnt be an exciting fight? I mean, I think maybe frazier would be boring as I think Wlad would spark him early, and Wlad would try to make the Tyson fight boring, but I think Tyson would make it exciting for a few rounds.

John Ruiz and Nicolay Valuev are horrible to watch.
Also Jack Johnson. Great fighter, but about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Wlad didn't become a cautious,safety-first type fighter until his two losses to Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster.In fact,he put on a very exciting,one-sided beatdown on Chris Byrd in their rematch.His last fight with Samuel Peter was also a pretty good fight.
Wlad has had some really boring fights,just like fellow heavyweight greats like Ali,Lewis,Holmes and Johnson had some really boring fights.The whole point of competition is to win.Wlad does what is necessary to win - and he does it in as decisive and dominant a manner as any champion in history.
The second fight with chris byrd was the begining of my hatred for Wlad. The way he was clinching the 6 foot tall byrd in the early rounds was despicable. Chris Byrd was beggin the ref to make wlad stop the clinching so he could fight.
I was still a Wlad fan back then but I started to have my doubts about him. After the Ibragimov fight I started to really hate Wlad
Ok I will watch the fight. Im gonna give Bradley credit though. He is a very good fighter but what he lacks is power. If he trains on his power he could be a very dangerous fighter for any 140 boxer

well I actually enjoy technical boxers far more than brawlers. And from what ive seen of bradley I can tell hes got a style I enjoy very much. So I might find it an exciting fight
Wald need to fight like pre-Sanders. The HW division is so sorry now that he can resort back to his old offensive machine. All he does now is jabs and grab.
