If you believe it's possible Canelo sold the belts to Turki and Bud for the $150m (entirely plausible - no rematch clause, no demands for rematch) then lt's evaluate Canelo's next move. WBC just installed him at no. 1 168, with Sheeraz at no. 2, it looks like Turki/WBC could be angling for a Canelo vs Sheeraz title fight, which could end up with Sheeraz being the first Pakistani/Brit to win a world title. I could see Canelo selling that fight too, he's clearly on the downside. This fight would be contingent on Bud vacating the 168 belts which is likely and there isn't anything appealing for him at 168 legacy-wise. Beating Canelo was everything.
Bud's map is less clear. It would seem natural for Bud to drop to 160 and collect more titles however that would involve extreme risk as the main man at 160 is a BEAST Janibek Alimkhanuly. The Qazaq Style could be the best fighter at the 160 168 range. Nobody knows how good he is because every marque name as avoided him, yet he still owns two 160 belts. It would be a very very bold move by Bud to challenge Janibek, who surely would be the toughest fight of his career. Bud is a throwback true great and he just might do it. But it's also possible Bud could suddenly turn soft and become a businessman after earning $50m and at age 37 38, choose the path of least resistance.
It will be intriguing to see how this plays out for Canelo and Crawford. One thing is for sure, the Canelo vs Crawford rematch is not what the boxing fans want and neither to either combatant apparently.
Canelo is a fraud and if you think that he sold the fight, he is a piece of $h1t. But I think he didn't sell anything because he has always been a buyer that know his limitations, that's why when he was 21 yo he lost to a 36-year-old mayweather, when he was 23 years old he lost to Lara, when he was 28/29 yo old (don't remember now) he lost to 36-year-old GGG, 32yo old lost to Bivol and now he lost to a 38 years old Crawford, can you see the pattern here? So please leave that conspiracy theory at home and just accept that canelo was never that good, and he always would have problems with real boxers, he ain't elite.
I KNOW Canelo was never anything special but a Mexican marketing campaign who played soft for Mayweather and Haymon for a $5m bonus, who ducked Golovkin for a half decade to squeeze him to play soft when he was at the end of his career and earning power. I know he miscalculated Bivol and because he was a franchise he had the budget to hire many employee opponents who just wanted the big payday. A totally overrated fraud pretender like Floyd and Wilder and Tank. Nothing special, never was never will be. Since Floyd and Haymon ruined boxing we are in the WWF era. Thank the boxing Gods there are still some great fighters who are REAL fighters - Usyk, GGG, Loma, Janibek, Bivol, Beterbiev, Crawford to expose the frauds like Canelo, Tank, Floyd, Broner, Wilder.
Canelo is done and has been for years, Bud was always his master, Canelo just finally accepted the reality and gave him the fight because he didn't want to get KOed by Benavidez. Canelo doesn't want the rematch, he's on a farewell tour still. Just milking the fans for every last buck.

Fight I don't want to see: Eubank/Canelo
That’s probaly what we’re going to get, in the UK since Canelo has said he wants to fight there.
Unless Eggs Bennedict beats Jr,
Whoever thinks this has to agree that Canelo's career has been a circus, a farce, he has lied to all his fans, so why worry about a piece of $h1t athlete like him. Don't you think so? Or, I have another theory, he lost because he is not good enough, has never been. You can watch his fights with Lara, Floyd, and Bivol, and the reason it wasn't a rematch clause is that he was so sure of his victory that he didn't bother with the clause, and he can ask for one if he chooses to, after all, he is the king and can do whatever he wants, and I'm 100% sure that Crawford would oblige. What do you think?

Longshot -
If Anthony Yarde's style finds success against Benavidez, maybe Canelo re-evaluates that matchup? The look of that fight might get people thinking again, we'll see.
Opinion seems to vary on Hamzah - understandable after the Adames showing. But even if you didn't think much of Berlanga, Hamzah KO'ed him in hometown, NYC, in his first fight abroad. Maybe not exactly like Hamed-Kelly, but it was a damn nice arrival.
Anyway, I like how he looked at the higher weight, and I think he can become a new star if he continues to improve, he carries himself very well. I think that becomes an intriguing fight if Benavidez is put back on the table as a possibility.

I think you have been living under a rock. Amir Khan was the first.
Here is the card I want to see next year:
Crawford vs Janibek at 160
Beneviedez vs Bivol at 175
Canelo vs. Shereez at 168
I'd even take any mix and match of these...
Even something like Beneviedez vs Betwebiev or Crawford Vs Bivol.I think Turki will keep his word to Artur
so Bivol-Artur part 3
Let see if Buff Guy Yarde puts on the performance of a lifetime resulting in rematch
Janibek is just a southpaw version of Postol. Jani would hear the final bell then
Postol was getting countered with all kinds of sht and went to the scorecards anyways
Yes that is the way it appears actually. No rematch clause, no demands for immediate rematch, happy photo with Bud and daughter in dressing room, the outcome Turki wanted. Canelo has had enough and now no pressure to face Benavidez.

Not many options for bud tbh.. certainly no huge fights. If boots hadn’t been fighting scrubs these last few years he could have been a way bigger name. Can Charlo get to 160 and get a title ? That might have some interest..
Janibek is more dangerous than canelo. I will be surprised if Bud actually fights him.
Unlike Canelo, Janibek is a young dangerous fighter in his prime, and he is no cash cow.
Because Janibek is nowhere near as good as 3G however he is young prime undefeated, Boxing Muppet Show will never order this fight. Hungry undefeated soviet champs are the least sought after to gamble their careers and legacy on. Look at how dangerous one Madrimov was; you can walk the street and find a Madrimov on every corner in those regions.

jani looks nowhere near as good as golovkin did
That's true. But remember Douglas looked nowhere near as good as Tyson. Mayorga looked nowhere near as good as Forrest. Ali looked nowhere near as good as Foreman...
What Bud must do is guard against complacency and overconfidence. Hopefully he trains, focus and prepares properly for Janibek this time around.
Unlike he did against Israil Madrimov. Which will be very difficult to do after coming down from the emotional high of defeating Canelo Alvarez.
It is just the rare combination a fighter being hungry and prime, undefeated champ and to make matters even worse; a real Soviet boogeyman that makes all alarm bells go off and send the shivers down the spine of all contemporaries.
Excuses. He's 32 years old and has made 5 world title defenses. Nobody gets ducked by literally every good fighter in a whole division. His fans are starting to sound like Andrade fans, giving him every excuse in the world for fighting no-hopers because he kept saying Canelo's name. If you can't get Canelo you move down to the next best guy on the list, you don't just continue fighting the worst opposition you can get away with.
Janibek's resume is extremely thin. Old man N'Dam, Rob Brant, Vincenzo Gualtieri?
Come on man.
