I see it like this. If Crawford wins, he gets all the credit and goes down as one of the best. Moving up two weight classes and beating arguably the best SMW of the past 10 years is huge. If he loses, he was supposed to lose because of the same reason above.
If Canelo wins, he was supposed to win and nothing changes. If Canelo loses I think it hurts his legacy but not enough to not make him one of the best to step in the ring. If it is a draw they run it back but still looks bad for Canelo.
imagine bud beats canelo then beats benavidez, would beat both brothers, cray cray
You never know whats possible unless you try. Most things arent achieved because they dont try, rather than it not being possible?. But James Toney, RJJ won titles at heavyweight because they tried and they will get credit for being great. Floyd mightve beat GGG, but he darent try, put limitations on what he thought he could do, so in my eyes not so great as Toney, or RJJ was.
Interesting that so many boxing people pick Bud to win.
Maybe they are overlooking some facts.
Crawford is 3 years older, less active, coming 2 divisions up, coming from another 1 year layoff.
Crawford only had 1 fight at 154 in which he didn`t look great.
The fight will be at 168. Crawford will likely be rusty, slower than ever, heavier than ever.
The skill gap between these 2 is not that big.
I hardly believe Canelo is shot enough to lose at 168 against a career 135-147 guy.
he does?
I feel like against a seemingly smaller guy who’s only had one bout at 154 and prior to that his entire career has been south of 154, yeah, he probably would like that.
I agree dude but against Canelo I think Bud needs to be a little cautious and BOX Canelo cuz I believe he has the skill set to outbox Canelo.
Canelos not a bad boxer by any stretch of the imagination, but Bud in another level here.
Canelo wants a brawl. Bud cannot play into that.
he does?
When you look at the boxing community's comments it is split down the middle that each guy will win. So he should get credit, regardless is what he needs to do with an opponent that comes from two weight classes below.
I’ll be surprised af if TBud goes into survival mode like Charlo did
T a boxer with the temperament of a brawler
He likes to get his payback instantly
this is a disbeliever of revenge is a dish best served cold

Canelo too strong.. he’s also hell hard to hit clean, you guys don’t give him enough credit. Bud couldn’t push back a Madrimov and was barely beating him to the punch, he’s not gonna be much sharper than canelo to make up the power difference.
TBud has gone to the scorecards multiple times with opponents who have less defense chin size skill and experience than Saul
matter of fact Saul has better defense chin and experience than TBud

to casuals? yes he wants to fool people into thinking hes better than he actually is by taking these kind of fights and avoiding the actual tough ones(floyd style). why not just fight inoue next? hes undisputed too. taking advantage of others' ignorance is canelos raison d'etre.
He can't fight Inoue....Inoue is going to fight Jake Paul next February.
I can see this fight playing out similar to Canelo's fight with Mayweather. He is going to look to counter Crawford. I just don't see him bum rushing Bud for fear of getting countered. I can see a slow-paced, tactical and cautious fight. Ultimately the fight comes down to the fighter who wants it the most.
Just asking, because everybody acts like it is 50 -50 fight.I say yes he will. Afterall, Terence Crawford is the overall better fighter and he is undefeated.
canelo will show bivol how the undisputed should handle the smaller fighter coming up in weight . no 12 rounds getting pushed to the limit like he did with canelo.
and then we want the rematch with bivol for all the marbles, ! haters can tell us how bivol is jsut another cherry after beaitng beterbiev twice.
benanvidez is busy with guy who lost to guy who canelo ko'ed. what else is there to say, canelo is operating on another levels. hof ****
did u fall off your roof?

Floyd don't get much credit for beating jmm, apart from Floyd's fans, so Nel o shouldn't get too much credit in reality. But Nel o will be beating arguably the best pfp in the sport, and bud isn't anyone's leftovers so Nelo and his fans will be proud.
But unlikely to be seen as a great win. A bit like hagler beating duran, but duran is actually seen as one of hagler s best wins in actual fact. The fact is bud will likely give Nelo a very competitive fight, but bud will likely get more credit in losing, than Nel o in winning so long as bud keeps it competitive like duran hagler
Defeating his second undisputed fighter will look good. More undisputed fighters should fight each other. Makes the sport the best it can be.
