Do you agree? I mean, he is jumping 2 weight classes to fight Canelo at 168 rather than draining him down to 152 like Floyd did. Even LDBC who hate Crawford says he is Top 5 all time if he wins.
Yes, I don't think you become top ten ATG by upsetting a favourite and being underdog. Bud is underdog but some think he has a chance so probably not a massive underdog.
Buster Douglas didn't become ATG upsetting tyson.
But as a singular it will be a highly respected win, in a way his victory over Spence wasnt
LMAO. Right. Douglas was a journeyman before. Bud is undefeated and cleaned out 3 divisons. You do when you become 3 time undisputed champ in 3 different weight clases which has never been done
he will retire after nellieo
no way bud bypasses a whole heap of people with 1 win over the biggest cherry picker in the sport at the moment, canelo hasnt taken a hard fight in years

Well, I've got floyd above bud now. If bud beats Nelo id have bud above floyd. But id like bud to record a few more good wins after Nel o fight to show it wasn't a bad day at office for nelo

floyd wont be happy, he thinks hes the goat & bud didnt even place him top 3 and worse than that bud is placing himself higher than floyd

I get that but Ali did fight every name around his time. Bud simply wants to get paid, I don't doubt Crawford's skills but it has to be consistently measured with the best in the division.
True, Bud isn't in the equation of being goat. Ali was in the strongest era of heavyweights and has wins over them all.
Okay, how about 147? Do you think that weight would have made him lighter on his feet? Or he would lost anyway? Don't be a moron, you know what I mean.
Moron? I was agreeing with you in a sarcastic way. Mayweather was leagues ahead of Alvarez at any weight that Canelo could muster.
Didnt Ali say he was the greatest ?
Same with Mayweather and Duran ?
so to be the greatest u need to look a few weight classes above and fight a guy who hasnt fought a hard fight in years and is afraid of the people fans want him to fight? next hard fight canelo has hes losing, if canelo fought and beat benny and then bud beat canelo i would say thats very very impressive but canelo cant do that and he knows it, hes even been protected bigtime by the boxing orgs at 168 who just slobber all over his especially the wbc who have adopted him officially i think
Crawford is a product of his time. Nobody fights anybody that has a chance to beat them, rarely you see a fight involving two good fighters ala Morrell Jr vs benavidez. Check Crawford resume, two accomplished boxers and one of them was really a featherweight, in four divisions covering 17yrs. Now check SRL from 79 to 81, Benitez, Duran twice, Kalule and Tommy Hearns, in the span of five years he already has fought three hall of fames in their prime. That's a resume, and no help from the judges.
I agree. Also, I may add that fighters had to fight the best fighters available for the highest purse. Nowadays it's different. The average titleholder could fight a voluntary, non-ranked contender for a minimum of $5 million dollars.
Which is why boxers are so inactive today and fight only when they get ready. They make too much money. In the days of old; Some fighters had to fight a minimum of three fights per week just to make ends meet.
ATG's don't crowned themselves LOL.. if you have to always remind people that you are top 3, then you really ain't! you ain't Neva hear MJ call himself the GOAT.
Didnt Ali say he was the greatest ?
Same with Mayweather and Duran ?
this is a win win for both of them
canelo can say he shared the ring with a top3 ATG of the sport, his fans will love that it would be another accolade to slobber over for all time
A thing I've noticed with bud is he always tells us where he is, or wants people to think he is , whether it was pf p no1 or top 3 all time.
Bud might as well go all the way and say he is goat now, saying he is top 3 is almost holding back and being shy.
Of course bud wouldn't really think he's goat, but if you want others to think it you need to plant seed in people's head. Ali.said he's goat, floyd said he's goat, fury said it. Only Ali people believed in hindsight

Yes, indeed! You are absolutely right!

Bud has always been delusional. His best win is Spence and a lot of people won't remember Spence.

Actually, it would have made a difference. Alvarez fought very flat-footed at whatever weight he rehydrated to (165, 170?). At 200 lbs, he would have fought like his feet were in cement.
Okay, how about 147? Do you think that weight would have made him lighter on his feet? Or he would lost anyway? Don't be a moron, you know what I mean.
I don't know if it will or not but it will definitely put him in the conversation. I don't know. You got guys like Henry Armstrong, Willie Pep and Roberto Duran all with better resume's than Bud.
However, Crawford would be a three time undisputed champion in three separate weight divisions in the four belt era. One can easily make a compelling case either way.
It would be close but I say no cigar. Those earlier guys I mentioned have close to two hundred fights or more on their records. They took more risks and fought against much stiffer competition than Crawford.
You forgot to mention those guys you mentioned, they too fought better competition than canelo
