Conor Benn wins another hearing vs UKAD and his suspension is lifted…Again. UKAD have 21 days to appeal…Again. Will this ever end? | BoxingScene Community
So Conor Benn wins another hearing vs UKAD like he did last year and has his suspension lifted after having the exact same hearing he won last time overturned on appeal.
UKAD have 21 days to appeal the decision. Let’s say they do, does it get overturned again? Then what? Conor Benn has the same hearing for the 3rd time and wins again? To be then overturned on appeal again?
What is the point of all this?
You mean they never officially said that because they weren't able to.
But it pretty well known that the first one was due to jurisdiction.
Good on you though if you don't want to believe it. More power to you lol.
No, it’s not. It’s not “pretty well known.” It is Infact the opposite of that. You’ve just flat out lied and said they have confirmed it’s not jurisdiction this time which is totally false, they haven’t confirmed that. At no point has any party even mentioned jurisdiction, on both hearings.
It’s nothing more than speculation, was never confirmed, likely never will be because again NADP hearings in this country are confidential.
You have no source to support that claim because it doesn’t exist.
Which will likely be the exact same scenario for this second hearing.
At no point was it said it was a jurisdiction issue the first time and that they haven’t confirmed or denied it’s not that now either, or anything for that matter and they likely won’t because hearings in this country are confidential.
There also wasn’t a “previous appeal” that was the original hearing vs UKAD (that Benn won)

All this fuss over a guy whose best win was the ancient ghost of Chris Algieri.
Pull your tampon out sweetheart.
No one cares about your emotional outbursts.
well i do remember something about 'jurisdiction'
i remember benn cackling online about it, he passed all ukad tests & they cant ban him based on the vada tests or something like that, i forget and too lazy to look it up
yeah basically a loophole and a big big one if that is the case
That is totally incorrect.
Well, they've said it's not a jurisdiction issue this time (the previous appeal was). This one was about the tests themselves.
Either he proved he didn't knowingly take the drugs or... something Sam Jones said sticks in my mind. He said Conor never failed any tests (???)...
...my thoughts are that they looked at the procedures that took place by VADA and found the tests were not taken to the standards they should have been. They've suggested this before, and Sam Jones' comments would line up to this.
I'm just speculating however. Maybe hes clean (lol). And in fairness, if the standards were poor, that does leave question marks.

Who are the NADP? Seems like the are setting up these fake bodies to make an appeal angle and try and fool the public. The guy got caught twice. He tried to circumvent the system and fought twice in the US whilst he was meant to be suspended.. he deserves the book to be thrown at him. Imagine if his surname wasn't what it is and the possibility of the eubank fight wasn't there waiting for him.... he would have been banned for longer
No that’s incorrect and you’re off also.
Firstly he fought in the US because he won his hearing vs UKAD and his suspension was lifted. So he wasn’t suspended when he fought in the US.
As for the the NADP they are the independent body that overlook all drug testing matters in the UK through UKAD. That is who give out the bans etc and that’s who do the hearings when fighters fail drug tests.
As for “banned for longer” I’m not sure what you mean by that because as it stands he hasn’t been banned at all and whether he will end up with a ban is looking unlikely but it’s hard to say at this point because that seemed like the case when he won his hearing last year but it was the overturned on appeal so I guess we’ll see what happens with that.

It may be that team Benn found a legal loophole though, as opposed to being clean. That's about the only issue that may have happened in this hearing.

The NAPD are not made up. They are an independent panel that handles all doping disputes in the UK. Swimming, athletics, football, cricket, everything. The panel is made up of doctors, scientists, ex athletes, legal experts etc. It's very robust and set up to stop the corruption across all sports.
If the NAPD have lifted the suspension, it absolutely is not because there was money under the table or because of Conors last name.

this is better than a benn eubank fight, benn is down, no hes back up, he took a few shots, hes reeling but wont give up, hes down again and just makes the count, its a classic
If it does keep happening, Benn might end up serving an even longer suspension. He's already been out for what, 2 years?
Well, he’s won two hearings now and isn’t serving any kind of ban.
His temporary suspension was previously lifted, then reserved back on appeal.
It’s now been lifted again after winning another hearing vs UKAD.
What I’m not understanding is why the NADP are deeming Benn innocent to then overturn it on appeal. It’s the NAPD and only the NAPD that makes decisions on these matters.
Seems like a circus. If UKAD do appeal this loss (again) then it will then drag out even longer. Another 6 months-year minimum.
