The link is broken, or it was deleted. It isn't unheard of, but 25lbs is a lot of weight to rehydrate.
These were the fight night weights

Source?
Put a link if it has any basis of truth
'Apparently' isn't a source.
Get your facts straight. It was Canelo that entered the ring 193 lbs. Berlenga weighed 176 last night.

- - I'm dubious of 174 since that's what his fight weights were at 154.
He was in the 180s vs Kov and probably that is his regular weight now in shape, and he's always in shape.
that was his weight on the scales for the 175 pound clash
yeah he weighed in 166.8 which means its an easy weight cut for him otherwise he would be closer if he was struggling. but 13 pounds to get to 180 well that is nothing for an elite boxer, thats an easy weight cut today. we do know he looked huge with charlo who is not a small super middle.
He came in 174.4 for Bivol and im looking at his photos and he still looks like he cut more than 5 pounds of water there.
I wish the broadcaster would do unofficial weights like HBO used to do.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing Canelo comes in under 180 today.

I understand Canelo put a 10 lb rehydration clause in the contract — not the first time he’s done so, by the way. My guess is that he himself comes in about 175. I imagine an opponent can rehydrate further after the second weigh-in on the morning of a fight, which would explain Berlanga coming in even heavier. Edgar is huge for 168. He’s been enjoying a size advantage for most or all of his whole career.
the rehydration clause weigh in and IBF championship fight day weigh ins are in the morning of the fight... so the fighters continue rehydrating after it. its not their ring weight. f
Canelo gave up the IBF because they wanted him to fight that random uber driver so the only thing left would be if there is anything contractual.
Berlanga was 193 in the ring last night 25 lbs more then weighin yet Canelo says Benny is too big. We all know by now he is scared

"In what makes a strong case that Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (43-1-1, 31 KO’s) should be fighting at middleweight or better yet super middleweight, Canelo reportedly stepped inside the ring last Saturday night at 174 lbs for his bout against Alfredo Angulo (22-4, 18 KO’s) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

dude this was back in 2014 lol canelo weighed 174 in the ring back then, look at his physique from then till now, hes much bigger, come on surely u can see that
Yeah, I have a hard time believing Canelo comes in under 180 today.
Bivol also didn't complain when he fought Zurdo who came in around 207lbs on fight night when they fought.
for a sport based on weight classes its bizarre we have no idea what they actually weigh in the ring so have to have endless discussions on it with missing facts, canelo ends up being some type of incredible shrinking man, if they have a system where guys put on X amount at least tell us what that X is, like hbo did who were great even tho they got slagged off at times they are missed
one other thing as well, canelo fans are always going on about how big bivol was in the ring v the king and thats why he lost, bivol is on record as saying he was 183 on the night & he wanted to go to 168 to fight canelo, so more lies lol

I’m comparing some photos now. Honestly, the difference is hard to see. Maybe Canelo’s slightly bigger. It’s not night and day. As I said before: he’s obviously fighting closer to his natural weight now, which is likely around 175-180 anyway.
canelo would need to cut his leg off now if he wanted to make 154, not a chance in hell, he would have no chance of even making 160 now!! lol

Probably somewhere between 175 and 180, IMHO.

yeah because he doesnt tell anyone but canelo has always been a big rehydrator & im sure that hasnt changed either, people always go by height but if u look at side by side photos canelo is always wider than his opponents
Yeah, he’s built like a bull; but still, he’s not that big. I’ve lifted weights since I was a kid, and have a decent amount of muscle. I can’t see Canelo being 20 lbs heavier than me with that kind of conditioning. Anyway, not trying to get too deep into it. Just don’t think he’s above 180 in the ring. Probably somewhere between 175 and 180, IMHO.

I just curious. The weight was never an issue against benavidez.
It’s not easy to find a reliable source — or any source — for Canelo’s fight night weight during his 168 campaign.

Apparently Berlanga was 193 last night. Yet Benavidez is too big! | BoxingScene Community
