The guy knocked him down twice, barely looked like he had a mark on him, and fought so hard in the other rounds that they were all very close.
That was a straight robbery let's be honest
It's even more confusing that fans of fighters now want to convince us that knockdowns are no longer 10-8 rounds.
Hahaha I know what the fuck.
First they say "they weren't knock downs they were both slips!"
Then "well actually those were 9-8 rounds LOL
Everyone and their mother knows you have to absolutely KILL the guy in a round where you were knocked down in to even have a hope of getting a 9-8 round.
Like look ta Fury Wilder 1 in the 12th: Fury was outboxing Wilder all throughout the round before he took a left hook and right hand, then he got up absorbed some pressure and then proceeded to get Wilder in trouble with bog shots where Wilder looked in trouble. Thay was no where near a 9-8 round. I can't even remember one off the top of my head.
Yeah it's a little confusing how the fanbase that claimed Canelo deserved the decision vs Golovkin because of facial damage all scored the fight for Ortiz :dunno:

i pointed in the rbr thread that after the fight Ortiz gasping for air and Serhii smiling....
it's not an indication of who won the fight but personally i think Serhii got it....
Fact is you have to struggle to give it to Ortiz. 2 knock downs and looked like he was in a car crash.
i saw the difference it was clear too
one guy was smiling & the other guy not so much

But **** man it's a sigb that one guy did damage and one guy did NOTHING
By this logic, had Chavez vs Taylor gone to the scorecards, Chavez would have won because his face had little to no wear and tear where as Taylor's face was rearranged. Like Street Cleaner stated "Facial damage doesn't decide who won the fight."
But **** man it's a sigb that one guy did damage and one guy did NOTHING
Not saying that either guy won or loss. Pointing out that face damage is not an indicative who won.
Ortiz won every round. Including the ones with the flash knockdowns as they should not count. Nash scored it 120-96 for Ortiz. Nash out - His Excellency
