Was thinking about this yesterday and I think the powers-that-be move Cuban fighters too fast. You have a lot of Cuban talent and they're throwing them in the deep end when they barely have a handful of fights. Sure they may be winning but their growth hasn't matched their opposition level.
It's funny he didn't receive the same hate Benavidez did. Benavidez won damn near 9 rounds vs an ex champ. Morrell struggled and looked somewhat lost vs a fringe guy. Where's the same energy?
Some MIGHT argue he did lose to Kalajdzic. I think he did just enough to win, and he finally faced someone with real skill.
