apparently they sparred together. Zhang talked about this in a CHinese interview. Zhang told Alex to put on head gear. Alex said he wanted to work on head movement.
Zhang KOed him with a right hook.
This was right before Poatan fought Adesenya for the 2nd time in UFC. Poatan was KOed in that fight. Little did anyone know, his chin was softened by Big Bang
since then Poatan has gone onto win the LHW title and will likely fight for the HW title in his next fight with Jon Jones.
listen up monkey. don't blame me if you can't read.
Mate, the comments are public :lol1: There’s only 200 odd of them.
I’ve literally read them all. Only one comment mentions it. Which is probably you :lol1:
You are a proper fckin weirdo.
There is literally one comment on there of what you’re referring to.
You have obviously made this whole story up :lol1: Like I said you need to get a life asap.

complete BS
34 is absolute prime for HW. Jon Jones won the HW belt at 34. look at Lennox, Wlad, Joshua is turning 36 rn, Usyk is 38, Zhang is 41 etc
I doubt Fury, Usyk, AJ, Jones are in their primes anymore. They just havent declined to a point where they're visibly falling apart yet. In how many other sports would you be considered in your prime in your mid/late 30s? fucking snooker?
It also depends a ton of the type of fighter. Fedor was 5'11 and heavily reliant on using his speed and durability to blitz people. Of course that doesnt age as well as being a 6'6, 275lb southpaw with tons of power like Zhang.
Again, Pride had no drug testing so whoever he beat there the PED issue makes no difference. Werdum and Hendo were in Pride the same time as Fedor, were nowhere near as succesful there and lost to guys Fedor beat. Its also very naive to assume that nobody is on PEDs in America. We already know that 40 year old Hendo was on TRT. You really think Brock, Carwin, Reem etc (ie some of the top HWs when Fedor started losing) werent juiced to the fucking gills?
lol @ this blind dumb azz boomer
this is confirmed by several youtubers. keep reading.

Again, why would anyone care even if it were true?
It's sparring.
Against a cruiserweight.
Whose primary sport was kickboxing.
Whose secondary sport was MMA.
Whose tertiary sport is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (he has entered and won tournaments)
Boxing is, at best, his #4 sport and he's only had 1 organized fight in his career.
So why, exactly, are we supposed to care about a top level heavyweight beating up on a much smaller guy who doesn't box for a living? It's not like he's even known for having some uncrackable chin. Pereira has been knocked out at middleweight in both kickboxing and MMA in the past.
look at this Karen flipping out. LMFAO
listen, I find it interesting. If you don't, walk away KAREN. how can a man be this much of a sissy phagget?
It's 100% believeable because they did spar and Zhang hits very very hard.

1. I don't believe this happened
2. Even if it did happen, Pereira is a 1 fight cruiserweight as a boxer. Why is Zhang sparring a much smaller, 1-fight novice? Why would anyone be impressed by a top level heavyweight boxer beating up on a cruiserweight novice? Boxing is boxing, kickboxing is kickboxing, MMA is MMA, and weight classes exist for a reason.

Well that’s just a flat out lie.

they don't have youtube in China. the interview is in Chinese on the CHinese media site.

Fedor's decline coincided with drug testing exactly like Wanderlei Silva. Neither of those 2 are GOAT. Period.

like I said, I don't follow MMA anymore, but I think I remember reading Jon Jones got popped for roids? Every top athlete in combat sports is on roids, they were free to juice to the gills in Pride, but they have to time their cycles nowadays.
34 isnt prime usually, people tend to start declining around that time. Also its not just about age, its also mileage. He'd had a ton of fights and he took damage in plenty of them. Getting dropped on his head vs Randleman etc.
How the **** am I sucking his pole by saying he has a greater legacy than ****ing Alex Pereira? lmfao. Its pretty much a consensus opinion. They're not particularly close at this point and probably never will be.
Everyone was on PEDs in Pride, there was literally no testing. Do you think guys like Cro Cop, Randleman, Coleman etc were clean when he fought them?
complete BS

he was 34. still prime. got choked out. beaten bloody by Silva then KOed by middleweight. His legacy forever tarnished.
his decline coincides directly with drug testing protocols. stop sucking his pole.
his legacy is as good as Wanderlei Silva.

not necessarily.
Vitor Belfort KOed Holyfield.
50 yo Anderson Silva outboxed Chavez Jr.
some lightweight UFC fighter outboxed Roy Jones Jr.
Where is your source for this claim?
How was he in his prime? he was 30+ fights into his career and 5+ years removed from his most defining fights. People had been questioning if he was in decline already from the Arlovski and Rogers performances too.
Werdum lost in Pride to Big Nog, who Fedor beat twice. He also lost in the UFC to Arlovski. Hendo had losses in Pride to two guys Fedor beat as well (Nog and Arona) which suggests the Fedor of 2010/11 had fallen off more than Hendo or Werdum. Are you honestly telling me you'd favour 40 year old Hendo in a Pride ring circa 2005 vs Fedor?
As for Poatan, lol wtf man. Hes very fun to watch but 1-1 with Adesanya, Jiri x2, contentious decision over 40 year old Jan, Strickland and Jamahal Hill is nowhere near being a GOAT contender resume. He benefits a lot from being fast tracked and given stylistically favourable match ups in what are currently pretty weak divisions. He would have been like fringe top 10 at LHW a decade ago.

impossible. he got submitted in his prime by Werdum. then he got KOed by a 185 champ and went on a losing streak under drug tested states.
your PED argument doesn't hold up. if he sustained similar success you'd have an argument. he came to US and was drug tested and he was KOed by jabs and 185ers.

Like I said a few posts back i'd have him third all time.
Going 10 years and 30+ fights undefeated is pretty ****ing impressive. Even more so when you take into account that he was a pretty small HW and its MMA where its so easy for someone to throw a Hail Mary and score an upset.
I still think next to Jones hes probably the most skilled HW ever, and one of the quickest too. But yeah, his drop off once he started competing in America consistently was pretty brutal. May well be something to do with PEDs, but probably also mileage and age. His chin and strength seemed to decline quickly and significantly. Lets not forget Hendo and Werdum were both in Pride when Fedor was there and neither of them were anywhere near as successful as him too.
