I'm watching these 1970s Ali fights, and he was getting absolutely smashed, hit flush by lower tier fighters. Hell of a chin, but so easy to hit.
I'm of the opinion that Joshua would straight kill him. And Zhang?.... God Damn it would be ugly.
How big was Ali? I feel like these guys now are just way bigger and a lot more athletic than those old guys
215 at 6 ft 3 when he fought Joe Frazier in his prime.
Giving up about the same amount of weight as Wilder did vs Zhang. And 35 lbs vs Joshua.
most of these guys were glorified cruiser weights let's be honest
Game moved on
Ztang nearled died fighting Jerry Forrest and you're in here talking about him fighting Ali.
Good lord.
An in-shape Jared Anderson would be enough to end Zhang's myth, if you ask me.
its not long ago joyce was some type of bogeyman if i remember, now it seems to be zhang for some reason, next loss and he will be hopeless or near to again
Ali in his prime was almost cleaned out by little Joe Frazier. He never fought a real big beast with power like Zhang or AJ. Or a guy that's as skilled as Usyk
Ali's intangibles are miles better than most of these guys complete skillsets
Zhang isn’t a brute tho. He is a counter puncher with both hands.
until he runs out of gas… he’s going to land if u throw punches. Nobody has been able to dodge his shots.
Ali gets flattened.

did ali not beat one of the hardest hitting prime guys and not only that but stopped him, george foreman
just because AJ throws one punch v ngannou or whatever doesnt mean they could beat ali, crazy stuff really
prime ali is levels above the zhangs AJ's etc, im not even going to go into the older guys like bowe etc, these guys have their issues as well
Foreman telegraphed his punches worse than Wilder. The fact that the older version of Ali beat him says a lot.
Really think everyone is romanticising the past to a huge degree here. Especially because he became a cultural icon.
He got beaten on points in his prime by Joe Frazier, who would be a cruiser today. Beiterbiev and Bivol would destroy Joe Frazier.
These guys in the 70s just weren't all that. Riddick Bowe and Holyfield would whoop them all, imagine what Usyk would do to them.
Ali before the ban was the fastest heavyweight that ever lived; he was very hard to hit. Ali after the ban was easier to hit, but his hand speed, champion’s heart, ring IQ and formidable toughness won the day. He wasn’t unbeatable, obviously, but Muhammad isn’t considered the greatest for nothing. The two guys you mention will fade from memory very quickly. Ali’s legacy has lasted for decades, and will endure as long as this sport exists.

Ali may be known as the greatest but that doesn’t mean he is H2H unbeatable. Many fighters could beat him.
He was probably too fleet footed for Zhang but if he gets hit flush, he wouldn’t recover.
Guys like Lennox Lewis, Bowe, and Joshua would hurt him badly before taking him out.
