Inoue has fought in the US 3 times and in Scotland.
How many times has Tank fought outside his own country? Oh yeah, just once.
Errol Spence Jr? Twice.
Bud Crawford? Once.
Guess they must not be stars either.
Ryan Garcia, David Benavidez, and Devin Haney have fought in Mexican bars. Does that help their superstar status?
Maybe they need to fight in Japan to actually be superstars...
What a stupid line of reasoning. Inoue fights wherever he needs to in order to make the fights with the top fighters.
Haymon didnt have the ends to put up or he refused to
Fulton made like 5 mil USD fighting Inoue in Japan, which was significantly more than what he made in his career combined. Why would he want Haymon to demand a fight in Vegas to make 1 mil USD or so (what he made against Figueroa)
Tank fought once outisde the states?
Yeah, he knocked out Liam Walsh in London in May 2017, a few months before Inoue made his US debut.
it would be great if inoue went to the states maybe vegas for a huge showdown with the american guy, but there is no guy like that to go to as far as i know, correct me if im wrong
japan has the market and fans, it would need to make sense to make the journey often, hes already done it a few times as well so he knows how it works both at home and away im sure
Inoue has defended his title in Vegas twice now, with KO wins. And you're quite right, the US doesn't have any champions that people would turn out to watch anywhere near Inoue's weight class. That's why the toxic fans are clinging pathetically to a guy 3 divisions up who, to my knowledge, has fought very few, if any, top 5 opponents in his own weight class, especially without restrictions, and has won legitimate titles in only one weight class, and has yet to defend his email title.
boxing is an american sport!!! why would WE travel to another country to become a star? LOL... tell yo boy Inoue to come to the US more often... or does he wanna stay in japan so that he can feel protected and his fans justify it by saying "he makes more money there"...
Quiet down, child, and go back to school.
Boxing has been an Olympic sport since 688 BCE in Ancient Greece, with evidence of it dating back even further to Sumer and Egypt. It's hardly an "American" sport.
And he fights in Japan because his OPPONENTS demand it, so THEY can make more money. Inoue has been willing to fight anywhere, so long as the fight can be made against the top opponents. But they want their pieces of the Japanese pie, so they stipulate the fight be in Japan.
You seriously DKS. Not even just about boxing. For all your "America" this, "America" that, I bet you don't do anything to give back either. And I'm posting from an American military base in the middle of an active duty PCS back Stateside. Most of the guys in the military that I've met have a much more nuanced and cosmopolitan view of the world because they've actually traveled. Do you even know what those words mean? FOH.

Bud Crawford? Zero.

Bud won his first title in the UK
