Loma needed to make a statement and so I figured he was going to go for the KO.
Especially because he was afraid of being shafted in Australia. That's why I myself picked the late KO, and even won a small amount on the result :cool:
I changed my picks throughout the week leading up to the fights. I too almost swapped to Guevara with a multiplier but thought as long as Moloney survives, he would get a hometown decision. D'oh on that blunder. Loma needed to make a statement and so I figured he was going to go for the KO. I knew Kambosos was pretty good (not great, but tough enough), but IF Loma had anything left (and boy did he), he would force a stoppage late. Glad I came to that realization!
Two great fights with Loma/Kambosos and Hernandez/Lugo this weekend!
I had even considered betting on Guevara, but said to myself "no way they give him a decision in Australia"... :(
Exactly but Moloney always fades too much.
I am mad at me because I keep doing the same over and over and over again.
I am buying a baseball bat and I am going to hit my head with it time and time again!

I think they did schedule it for US primetime... it works out pretty well for the Aussies that way cos they get to watch it as a Sunday lunchtime show. They've been doing that with all the major fights from Aus last few years and I think the Aussie fans are used to it by now.
Even if there was no other good reason to move Down Under I reckon the propsect of live lunchtime boxing with beers and BBQ in the sun would probably be enough to swing it for me... :lol1:

Ah, a Noam quote! No wonder why I always liked you.
Cypocryphy
Maloney, Dec, Close
Loma, KO (TKO), Mid (despite Kambosos being a tough SOB, I think the rehydration limit will come into effect and enable Loma to get a mid round stoppage).
Guys please be aware that we are dealing with Australia fight hours. I think it’s misleading how ESPN is making the fight sound. It sounds like they are “fitting” it inside their best broadcast position. IMO. I could be wrong. Hopefully we have an awesome team member that can let us know what time they ring that fight bell!!️
:boxing::boxing::boxing:
It’s always been for bragging rights until 2-3 years ago. I’m down to play the way I’ve always played it. Not like I’m ever going to win. My best was from like a 5th place in 2018 or 19. Let’s just keep this thing moving!
Good luck everyone!!:boxing:
