Where has it been confirmed? Definitely lots of rumors saying it’s gonna be the Saudi’s first main event in US. though. it hasn't been confirmed, it's just a rumor, there's a few of them going around re: crawford either he's fighting josh kelly for the vacated WBO belt (Fundora is supposedly dumping it), or he's fighting Madrimov for the WBA belt

This guy is very good, recently won the vacant WBA title against Kurbanov stopping him fairly easily and fought Soro twice both ended in controversy but he clearly had the upperhand and proved he was the better fighter. I wouldn't heavily favor Tszyu or Fundora over Soro if you have seen him fight. If Crawford takes this fight, I can see him possibly losing yeah i watched some of him now, he looks good, his hands are fast and hes got power. he keeps his hands low, so that is good for crawford but i wonder if it will be enough, will crawfords power/counters be enough at 154 to keep this guy at bay or will he be able to close the distance and land and hurt an older crawford.

Can't find much about the fight except a tweet from Fernando Barbosa talking about how Crawford allegedly has support from Alalshikh and allegedly wants to make that fight. I'd like to see that fight, I think Crawford has 2-3 more great fights in him but Madrimov is no slouch but relatively unknown, will that fight really happen? Crawford needs to fight as soon as possible.

Its one thing to consider him a hype job but not even knowing who the guy is as a supposed hardcore boxing fan is pretty weird honestly. Its not like hes only been fighting in obscurity in Uzbekistan or something. Someone who watches boxing should have seen him or at least heard of the name and know that hes pretty highly touted. I think the inactivity is partly to blame for Madrimov's smaller profile. Also, 154 has been perceived as PBC's division for several years, so a segment of fans have neglected to watch anything outside of that bubble. Promotional companies become curators for fans who can't or don't want to watch all boxing under the sun. Not every hardcore fan consumes the same amount of boxing. Madrimov should at least be on people's radar now after performing on one of the bigger cards so far (AJ/Ngannou), getting a stoppage win over a good fighter whom hardcore fans are probably aware of (Kurbanov), and it was for a title that Jermell just got stripped of.

Explain how an eastern euro fighter who doesn't speak english, with 11 fights, fighting once a year for the last 2 years, and not a single significant fight has hype. His amateur pedigree, fought the best the WSB had to offer, obviously has a good skillset & he has been fast tracked against decent opposition & past with flying colours He beat the stuffing out of Soro & Kurbanov, you don't do that unless you're a very good fighter. He's clearly a very very good fighter & not what any inactive 37yr old wants to be dealing with.

A 36/37yr old Crawford don't want those problems. He only fights handicapped opponents that usually have one foot out the door, like f*ck is he going to fight this guy.
