He had a choice in there, "do I want to walk through the gates to valhalla"
And the answer was no.
He could have left it all out there, cut or no cut but he didn't really let his hands go.
I don't want to hear any complaints, if Tszyu really wanted it it would have been him or Fundora getting carried out of the ring at the end not hugging each other.
He didn't want it enough, no excuses, I don't want to hear excuses from boxers who are still standing at the end of a fight.
If Fundora tells Sampson Lewkowicz and Al Haymon to fuck off, and decides to fight Crawford, not only will i become a huge fan of his, i'll be rooting for him to win that fight lol
That would be such a gangster move
Point is, Tszyu was cut badly and couldn’t see! Why is this so hard for people to understand?
Yes, he could’ve totally sold out and made a damn fool of himself. He had a great first 2 rounds and provided an idea of how he wanted to go about the fight.
I get it, however, he does have other potential opponents watching him so why go all out, make major mistakes, and give the sharks more ammunition?
It’s bad enough his opponent is 6’6 with crazy arm reach, so he’d have to sell out a bit anyway, but blood running down his face would’ve led to even more mistakes if he let it all hang out.
As far as I’m concerned, I saw Tim press the action even more in round 3, but c’mon, how much more could you ask of him at that point?
I say great fight on both guys’ part.
FYI…Fundora didn’t sell out and he had a blind fighter in front of him—that says a lot, too.

Man, shut up!
Who are you, again? You didn’t throw a punch or bleed an ounce of blood but you come in here, half-cocked, beating your chest and telling us you don’t want to hear any complaints?! A boxing CHAMPION didn’t want it enough?
Cho ass up!
Fundora was a late replacement, so of course Tszyu was ill prepared. I think that accepting such an awkward opponent as a late replacement can be perceived as arrogant, but I don't think you have to be elite to give Fundora trouble. Fundora got hurt by Lubin and stopped by Mendoza. Fundora is someone you must dedicate a full training camp for, because his physical attributes are very unique for his weight class.
That’s my point. You don’t save to be elite to beat Fundora. Tszyu didn’t do very basic things you do to a taller fighter. VERY basic. He’s not that smart.

Bro, like a pint of blood poored into his eyes every round... And I'm sure the loss of blood weakened him and left him lightheaded.
Yeah guess what though he won.
Tzsyu looked a lot worse getting jabbed 500 times and losing wide on the cards
In what world are those cards a wide loss?
Say Valhalla again you corny fscking clown...

In all due respect to Tim Tszyu; His vision was compromised due to that cut. He was fighting partially blind and couldn’t see for three quarters of that fight.
In all actuality; It was his corner who failed him for not stopping the fight on a foul.
They should have notified the doctors that he couldn’t see and then the fight would have been ruled a no contest.
yeah but you can't use that as an excuse here because Tim caused the injury himself by headbutting dudes elbow. people are forgetting that
his sloppy footwork and zero inside game led to that injury
I'll go with Paulie and by the way from the comments I see people here who never fought in their lives.
When you can't see It is really difficult and I praise Tim for been a warrior, he made a fan out of me and out of respect last night.
I am sure one of the "elites" would have cried and stop the fight before the 4th.
Tim was kicking Fundora's as s until he could not see.
Some idiots in this forum for sure.

People criticizing Tszyu are idiots and the main reason fighters should steer clear of social media. Tszyu should be praised for taking on Fondura on short notice and saving the event. He also looked like the significantly better fighter until the cut, and while he could have fought better while being cut, he never stopped trying.
We're going to make extinct fighters that do right by the sport like Tszyu with stupid criticism like this. They're already a rare thing to see in the sport.
I also remember Fury getting discombobulated by a big punch from "feather-fisted" Wallin in the final round and then having to hang on for dear life, not to mention tying up and spoiling Wallin's onslaughts throughout the fight. Fury looked bad that fight.
Yeah guess what though he won.

Well....in some sense he did. He could have called it before four rounds and taken a no contest thus keeping his title. False pride made him carry on and he paid the price. All his talk about "oh i was fighting blind" and slipping the sneaky "it was one weeks notice" in are just empty words. You rolled the dice and lost. Suck it up.
I remember Tyson fury doing that against wallin. In fact I remember Tyson fury looking at the camera during one of the rounds and saying ‘I live for this’ while looking like a bloody mess

Well at the end of the day Tim never won a title, also showed he has no plan B did the same stuff over and over staying online, Crawford would KO him.
Fundora surprised me was only recently talking how if he fought long he be a different fighter he did and look what happened, 6'6" fighting small is stupid he wised up.
I saw a lot of arrogance in Tszyu. He was drinking his own cool aid. I saw an ill prepared Tszyu. By the time he figured out he was fooked. His body was done. Easy for a non fighter to talk about balls. I’m actually agreeing with you but for different reasons. He had no answer when he was fresh. How’s he going to muster up “balls” when fundy already cut them off?
If they fight again. I guarantee you that Tszyu will do far better. I’m not sure if he can beat him though. Tszyu isn’t that elite to me. I could be wrong.

Tzsyu said no tonight

It seems like people are trying to pretend otherwise. Even with his height/reach advantage, Fundora was marked up after the fight. Fundora is not really a out-boxer, so his jab isn't as educated or authoritative as it should be. Tszyu was still landing on Fundora even while sporting a crimson mask.
I would pick Tszyu in a rematch, regardless of what happened tonight.
Tims punches weren't really effecting Fundora
