Canelo told them he wanted to fight Berlanga... so they moved Berlanga up to satisfy a mandatory challenge and give the opponent some credibility. But the backlash was so extreme that the WBA backed off a day or two later and said if he fights Berlanga it doesn't count as a mandatory. Clown show.
