the thing is, the way Haney's bit back, it just puts more pressure on him and will make things worse if he gets beat.
It would have been better to play it down and say 'floyd's a legend'
People only put **** on Mayweather because of his personality and ego in interviews and just talking with him. He's always made it about him, even when he's promoting other fighters. I'm not sure he's acting anymore at that point and that's just him being him. I think the villain persona died once he "officially" retired from boxing. Though his ego never did and not for nothing, but a LOT of people hate listening to people talk about themselves all day long or make it all about them. Especially when you are trying to convince people you are the greatest or best that ever did it rather than let others decide on their own.
I know we're enemies because you mostly hate on Pac and I **** on Fraud, but when people interview Pac and asked him if he considers himself an all time great, he never once said, he did. He would tell them that it's up to others to decide that. I don't think you can find a better answer when asked. Fraud on the other hand, when asked, he would look dumbfounded as if you didn't already know the answer and the answer was HIM. lol.
Mate I ain't your enemy I just have a different opinion at times and I don't hate on Pac or any fighter, I can be critical but its based on logic that I can put up, hating a fighter is very different, haters get personal and attack everything in and out of the ring, they just like to attack the person in the pettiest of ways, that's not me in any way shape or form., hating on a fighter is full of back handers and venom, being critical is based on a logical argument.
But anyway I can see what your saying from you perspective and because you are a Manny fan its easy for you to just consume Floyd extremely negatively because if Im your enemy in your mind, Floyd is for sure, which makes you see the negative like a neon light and you don't notice it pouring into your emotions.
I feel Floyd has evolved into a hated fighter and if you watch his whole career you see where the image really starts to change, then add to this is Floyds terrible public speaking he would never make a politician lol, he can't express himself easily and everybody is asking loaded questions which he then gets into rant mode, he is like a MJ of boxing still a child and loaded with cash, bad mix, all the while the haters are growing like flys on sht, the chip on his shoulder feeding off the negative and rubbing haters noses in it, skipping all the way to the bank full of sarcasm and spite.
And he could only pull it off because he was great in the ring, there is a line between public figure Floyd and fighter Floyd, for haters there is no line, its a society thing that likes to bring down the ones on top if they buck the system and get cheeky, its the ol cow that sticks his head outside the cattle truck gets it chopped off.
Popularity in sport sadly is not how good they are, its all about the presentation/personality, he said she said and all the howdy doody BS, the vast majority of fans are like a mob of sheep following trends and drama which just reflects society today, for most its a plastic throw away opinion, haters team up with haters and have a hate party lol, for every fan that really knows the sport they are mobs that know fck all talking all kinds of BS all over social media, the only things I watch are the fights, weighins and training which give very little to hate on.
But anyway Im rambling.
Just for shts and giggles, if say 1000s of people put sht on ELPacman left right and centre with every move you made or thing you said, much of the content is baseless rumour or just plain BS intermingled with half-truths and hearsay, then with ELPacman being a great achiever in life having everything you achieved hated on, belittled or gotten by cheating..
Would you be salty?

Maybe this quest for being labeled "undefeated" has gone to extreme levels even in sparring. It's mostly the reason why there's so much inactivity going on in boxing. Being active entails risk. They're afraid to lose.
Floyd is 2 years older than Bill Haney, Devins dad.
If the haneys are so fuking great have the dad fight him, he is still younger than Floyd.

lol at bragging about a sparring win over a guy older than your father.
:lol1:
Summed it up perfectly
A sparring session ''win'' at that.

If we assume Haney had to be atleast 20 to beat a floyd in sparring, floyd would be 41, a year past his fight with Mcgreggor and retired. It could be even later than this. Bill should be greatful his son got to spar with a legend, lol at bragging about a "win" against a retired guy in his 40s.

Whether it's true or not, Mayweather is always salty. The dude stayed the villain part long enough for it to consume him and truly become the part. He always seems to have a chip on his shoulder. He's probably mad that he's American and the mass majority of Americans were hoping the foreign opponents that came would knock him off. Though honestly, he did that to himself.
For me, Haney seems similar to that. He's Mr. Goodboy right now and a good role model for young folks. If he decides to sell his soul to the devil to make more money, he can easily play the Mayweather card and act like a doosh. The PPV buys will soar in hopes that he gets beat. Only for him to retire feeling like a miserable c*nt because now nobody likes him. He tries desperately like Mayweather to stay in media and attention wherever possible so people can remember he exists. Whether that's promoting fighters, being in a fighter's corner, or doing a thousand exhibition fights. Whatever it takes so people don't forget you and the doosh bag that you were.

Even in a fantasy land where this did happen, who cares? The gym is for improvement, not winning. Only losers brag about winning in sparring.

Floyd retired at 38 when Devin Haney was 17 years old. That is the same age that Devin Haney was getting manhandled by an older Tank Davis which we have the leaked video proof. So I know that the floyd who beat Pacquaio wasnt getting beat by a 17 year old haney.... so that even IF this story is true, Haney's dad is bragging about Haney having a "sparring win" over a 40 something retired Floyd.
Who fuking cares, floyd was retired if they ever sparred.

End thread right here.
What am I missing? All I've been seeing is the Haneys have been saying not exactly nice things on Mayweather. Bill said, after the dismantling of Prograis, not even Floyd accomplished what his son has. It intensified when Floyd tried to take their dream fight RGarcia away from them and scrambled to look for alternative fights. Any recent response from Floyd?
It appears to be their "dream fight" even if only to pour all their grudges against the Garcia family, which surfaced in the press conference. Who would have known they had unpleasant history?
Where’d you come up with this?
A video where Haney’s father says it on social media regarding the sparring session Floyd had with Devin before the Conor fight.
The next sentence out of his mouth was- Well when you have the money Floyd has he isn’t salty.
