I RARELY buy a fight. I prefer UFC now. Boxing sucks now. It’s ashame.
I want to see him fight Benividas too but today’s boxing isn’t a sport. It’s a CORPORATE mentality. Look at how Tank avoids fighters. The Charlos. Fury and AJ.
Bivol and Beterbiev should have fought years ago.
5 years of waiting for Spence vs Crawford. Look how Crawford won’t fight Ennis. Look at how Teo wants to fight Crawford but Crawford is not interested. I can go on and on and on. Welcome to corporate boxing
They all do the same thing. I don't buy fights no more.
Do you condoned that the 33yo unified SMW don't defend the titles against the #1 contender? It would not be better is he vacates? If he keep the belts he should fight his mandatories or all this thing is a farce, a fraude. Vacate and go on to fight exhibitions, you guys are going to buy his fights, the worse the opponents the better because you know he's not going to be harm. But leave the real fights and the belts for real fighters. I think is fair.

He’s been a professional boxer since 15 and he’s 33. That’s a long time. He’s been the top guy for 10 years or so.
Hes fought ALL THE TOP GUYS over that time. Hes earned the right to go out any way he pleases. Benividas is a great fighter and I think he can whip everyone at 168-175. I’d pay to see him fight any top guy. He don’t need Canelo to prove he’s great.

That would be awesome
As a fight fan I was not satisfied with Nelo's choice of Charlo
Putting it mildly
Ryder, eh.
My feeling is Nelo is in retirement mode ?
Would like to avenge the Biv L ?
Nothing in his resume shows me he's a coward.
If he isnt doing it now I dont see why he would later. Hes already at an age and stage in his career where he could be thinking about retirement. Now would be the time for him to take that fight if hes gonna do it, rather than waiting until hes even older and further past his prime.
Who? canelo? He is not in his prime but stil young. My problem with him is that he doesn't want to let go, nor fight his inminentes threats.

He’s PAST his prime. You disagree?

Then you have the freaks like pcquio and inoe. Still canelo was MW when he fought a 155, and then he outgrew the division. He ain't that old and always in shspe.

SMH, muscle begins to marble with fat as we age, therefore your weight goes up. True boxers will have the discipline to hold their weight down for a long period of time as they age like Hopkins, GGG, Ward & Holyfield. There will come a point when boxers get too old where they can’t maintain their true boxing weight. It’s time to retire at that point. Like Canelo. He should be fighting 160 still.
True that some boxers at the age of 18 will go up a little of weight at 21 but they should go up just ONE weight class.

I agreed, if you can make the weight that's you division, he was exploiting that loop like everyone else. He was 23/24 yo last time he fought at 155, so now he's a natural 168_175 because he can't make the weight any longer. 10 years ago he was 154, he's not fat and while he's not a teenager no more, at 33yo still in his prime. So I don't why you're pointing out his weight 11 years ago.

Time is on Benny's side being he's 6 years younger than Nelo.
If I had my way -
Biv rematch (3x if Nelo wins)
Benny
Beter
MuMu
Retire
That would be awesome
I don’t get why you need me to explain this too you. If a man is 18. That is his TRUE fighting weight barring he’s not fat and is in shape AND IS VERY DISCIPLINED.
Felix Trinidad fought at 147 and he was 5”11. That was the best Tito cause his weight to size was at its most efficient. Delahoya was at his best at 135 and he was 5’10 1/2. Oscar was just an animal at 135. 147 not so much. He struggled more at 147.
I’m 5’9 and boxed at 126. I was huge for that weight class. Not everyone can EXPLOIT this angle. Fat boys and no discipline boxers especially. True boxers know angle and use it. Look at Hopkins, Gotti, Corrales, Canelo @154 and so on.

- - Turned blue on the scales at 152 vs l'l floydy and thus flat since on fightnight he was limited to 165 lbs because of a rehydration clause. His fight weights at 154 were normally mid 170s in his early 20s. Since moving to middle his fight weights went up to mid 180s, ie his natural street weight out of training in the 190s.
Did you just start watching boxing?
No, he knows more boxing that you and will tell you to stick to badminton. That was his awnser when I told him more or less the same thing.
Then if you know this, how can you said canelo is a natural JMW? You guys are defending canelo with lies, things that doesn't make any sense or they can be countered with facts. Why are you defending this guy, really? He has lie to all you, he hasn't behave like the face of boxing and as we all can see now, he doesn't want to take a risk. Is like an unhealthy relationship were the woman or the man is constantly cheating and getting caught, and the partner forgiving her/he and when asked by a friend, excusing the behavior and telling their friend she/he is not doing it again because she/he promised.

For one he’s slower. 2 he gets tired by the 4th round. 3 he gets hit now not to mention he’s been a PROFESSIONAL boxer since he was 15. That creates a lot of wear and tear in the body. He also fights way above his true fighting weight. He looks soft now. Look up a picture of him posing with Mayweather for their boxing match. Now that’s the true Canelo body. He was lean and ripped. He’s a natural 154 fighter.

BHS = :fing02:
