Sad state this sport is in when a 168 contender has to move up in weight because the 168 champ refuses to fight him.
That being said benevidez is a fool to go down the wbc route again after the way hes been treated with the canelo situation
The audacity of the WBC even pushing to make Benny interim champion is disgusting
Why is the WBC creating an 'interim' belt at 175 when their mandatory was just satisfied?
I was trying to figure that out
Sulaiman truly is a douchebag , nothing more
Jesse is on record that he will never fight Choco because they’re friends. Which is disgusting, by the way.
As for Estrada, he has been way too inactive. To the point that Bam would probably run over him like he did inactive Rungvisai.
We don't know the extent of their relationship, but is it difficult to believe a boxer wouldn't want to put a beating on a friend? Choco is inactive just like Gallo, so both are problematic match-ups.

Depends which way will Bivol -Beterbiev winner go. maybe the winner moves up, maybe Bivol moves down ( if he wins or loses)..Maybe will the winner fight Benavidez if the money will be good and drop some belts.

david is an easy fight for beterbiev, a far easier fight than bivol. i dont know though if there is a rematch clause? then that ties them up until next year. if no rematch clause i could see beterbiev taking that fight and retiring after.
But I think Bivol - Beterbiev winner must fight WBA mandatory first, if he keeps the belts.
I think Beterbiev will want to try to win the title in another division, which means fighting Opetaia at cruiserweight.

If Beterbiev wins, I think he will take another retirement check and fight Jai Opetaia but he is going to get stopped in the fight. Correct on Bivol and Benavidez. Bivol blanks him like he did Gilberto, just too basic.

Yarde, the guy who lost to that bum Lyndon Arthur was not an easy fight for Beterbiev. He went life and death. The idiocy around here makes me laugh. People just say anything that comes to mind regardless of facts.
That is a good foight.
If Beterbiev knocks Bivol out, I think he retires or moves up to cruiserweight.
If Bivol wins, I think he will fight Benavidez , if Benavidez can beat Gvozdyk.
Bam - Estrada is a f.ucking great news.

Canelo is fighting berlanga or Charlo in May imo, and munguia in September , then possibly Bud next May. So I like this fight . Hope I’m wrong and we get Canelo-Benavidez, but he should move to 175 and target then winner of Beterviev-Bivol in Saudi for stupid money instead of waiting on a percentage of a Canelo payday.
I’d be down for Benavidez-Morrell if David wants to wait on Canelo though
That is a good foight.

Gvozdyk is a good fighter and it's a stiff test for Benavidez at 175. Gvozdyk has a good offense but I'm not sure of his durability (especially at this stage of his career) and his ability to keep Benavidez off of him. The Nail would have to land something meaningful to hurt David.
Gvoz mentally checked out for over 3 years after Beterbiev. Where is his head space in a high-pressure fight now at 36 years old? I'd be more impressed with Benavidez vs Morrell. Anyway, he is moving up. See what he does after the mentally shattered Gvoz
Canelo vs Charlo 2 - When the jokes just aren't funny!
I respect Alvarez more if he took the challenge against Benavidez whether he wins or loses. Hope that he let's the belts go so the 168 division takes it course or actually is willing to fight the best for the next 5 years like he said.
If he still wants to compete, that's fine, but man he shouldn't put an entire group of fighters at a stand still by holding the belts hostage like Crawford and Spence did.
Chavez Sr fought De La Hoya twice at the same stage of his career (Julio was 33 years old in the first fight), even though he lost both, it took nothing away from his greatness, he already had achieved a lot before taking on the Golden Boy.
Benavidez is the MANDATORY for the 168 WBC belt.
If the WBC had an OUNCE of credibility they would strip Canelo for refusing to fight his mandatory.
Suliman is a corrupt sack of shit, protecting canelo, moving Benavidez up to 175 by promising him an interim title shot, as soon as he accepts he is off the 168 mandatory list.
Gvozdyk hasnt fought anyone decent in 5 years. Hes 36 years old. This is a very calculated move. This is to avoid Yarde whom i think is a lot more dangerous, he is 4 years younger and didnt need a retirement or have a health scare after beterbiev, hes a lot fresher.
I didn't expect this, that's a nice fight. I've been criticizing Benavidez for saying he wants 175 pounders but not doing anything about it. Good for him for moving up and not wasting time, if that fight happens. They better not be using Gvozdyk name and then say it fell through.
I like Gvozdyk, but I'd say his downfall is he's only fought club fighter opposition since his return.
Benny’s first fight at the weight
Does his power carry , is he gonna be slower with the extra
Gvodzyk , your absolutely right though but I am basing it from what I saw of him before the L to Beterbiev
But your right has not stepped up since , definitely
I'm happy to hear Gallo vs. Bam is being worked on. I respect Estrada, but I hope Bam kicks his ass lol. Bam is getting a unique opportunity to take out the old guard out all by himself.
