The last few years DiBella Entertainment has loss some of their best fighters i.e. Jalolov, Conwell, Serrano, Foster to other promoters. Think the only shows he puts on now are on UFC fight pass and those are few and far between. Just wondering Lou been in the business a long time but it appears as if the sport has left him behind
Lou has burned a lot of bridges with the promoters on TV. Unfortunately that has a knock on effect.
I like he has balls, like how he tried to set up the DAZN deal for Wilder and then called him out for rejecting it... but it's not how you make friends.

IMO Merhy is barely a stay busy fight, they're just going to hype his record against Anderson.
edit: does Anderson not get his own thread?
Why didn’t you start one

The demise of ESPN Friday Night Fights, HBO, and ShoBox has pretty much handcuffed promoters like Dibella, Deguardia, Main Events, etc, because they cant get TV dates anymore. All the premium TV dates are tied up with GBP, PBC, Top Rank, and Matchroom, and there are no more developmental shows like Friday Night Fights or ShoBox left. So where is someone like Lou, Joe, or Kathy going to sell content or get a TV date?
They can provide opponents, and maybe get an occasional co-promotional credit or even a banner on the light grid, but thats about it thanks to the current TV market......
This.
Networks having exclusive agreements with promoters = the death of mid-sized promoters like Dibella, Main Events, Shaw, etc.
Also the death of quality boxing cards on TV in the USA.
Major promoters just stack their TV cards and PPVs with one-sided showcases top to bottom now. Upsets are rarer than ever.
Lou signs fighters the major guys don't want and develops them the best he can, then sells/leases their contract to someone with a TV deal like Top Rank/PBC/GBP if they happen to strike gold, like when Kambosis upset Teo.
I still see him on Top Rank cards mostly. I used to see him often on PBC cards serving as interim promoter, but then all PBC fighters were probably told to start their own promotional companies, promote themselves so they can take whatever Dibella used to get.

Ok but a few months ago he still operating
Are you sure though about that being Moretti
Lou still operating I know that
Pretty sure that was Morreti. As for Lou seems like he’s been blackballed since trying to work out a deal for Wilder with Hearn behind Haymon’s back years ago. Honestly, only marketable name on his roster is Kambosos can’t name anyone else signed to DiBella entertainment
He’s still got quite a few fighters, he’s co-promoter on the EOTT card in early March and the Loma-Kambosos card.
Is Kambosos still signed with him? That’s probably his biggest fighter at this point that I can think off or Herring, he put on his comeback fight a few months ago
Think he has Carlos Gongora
Mykquan Williams looked real good on Probox last month and he is with Dibella.
The Mole Erdenbat, Jalolov, and Scoby are some of the better prospects he has, unless they’re not with him anymore
I knew he had something to do with Eye of the Tiger on a fighter
I met him at the Jean Pascal fight vs Eiffert when he lost Pascal

Think you’re mistaking Top Rank VP Carl Morreti with Lou both are bald, overweight white dudes.

No he’s not unless he got out overnight
Actually he was literally on screen if I’m not mistaken on the Top Rank card
