Would you blame Usyk if he decided there was just too much risk that Fury never makes it to the ring?
Consider the original negotiations.
Consider that they had a fight for December. It's never Tyson's fault but he apparently couldn't be ready for December after a tough fight with Ngannou (a fight he chose to take).
Consider that they had a fight for two weeks from now. It's never Tyson's fault but he got split open in what looks like some pretty scrappy sparring.
Usyk has been in camp for this fight for about 5 months now. He's being asked to do it for another 3 months.
And there are no guarantees Fury's eye is good to go in 3 months (including camp and sparring).
If I were Usyk, I'd walk. Get on with his career. Usyk is a unified world champion waiting on a bloke who hasn't had a meaningful fight in a couple of years. Why would Usyk's career be dictated by Fury's problems?
Fury has flopped on every PPV he’s done so ?
Fury sold out the O2 because it was Chisora who actually sells out venues ,Fury couldn’t even sell with Wilder or Klitschko they weren’t selling any tickets and they actually cancelled the event bf Fury took a hiatus . Lol
How many tickets did Wallin vs Fury do ? How many did Ruiz and Joshua do bc they sold out MSG while 3K sat and watched all Furys fights outside the Wilder ones in the U.S Lol .
The only way Fury and Wilder break records is if both fight Joshua that shows his star power bc we all know Wilder does abysmal numbers and that would have generated the biggest fight in history before Wilder took a loss ,now it’s Fury .
If Fury was such a draw Rhiyad Season would have done there stuff on ESPN and TNT . They aren’t stupid people ,even Warren knows these huge events aren’t possible without Joshua he admitted that and here we are again Joshua offering to bail Furybout again and save his card . Lol
Let me know when his Excellency has to take Joshua and sit next to him like a baby sitter on nation media and make talk about fines for delaying fights .
Fury didn’t event fight Chisora at the O2 you dumb f***. It was at Tottenham Hotspurs’ stadium. Fury is past those Arena level fights. AJ can’t even fill them anymore.
I know you’re a cuck for AJ but you need to face reality, he isn’t the GOAT like you once laughably claimed. :lol1: He’s not the best HW of his era and he isn’t even the best HW in his own country.
You’re in cuckoo-land Juggs, just like your imaginary BKFC debut. Have you set a date yet? :lol1:
There's not a bigger fight right now But as things stand, if he beats Fury he'll be tied up in mandatories for the rest of his career and probably never get the chance to defend all of the belts.
But if he gets a mandatory out of the way now, he can at least have choices. Then there's the risk that the Fury fight might never happen.
I think the problem he faces also, is that if he was to walk away Fury would likely throw his toys out the pram and then refuse to fight him period. Fury has the AJ fight to fall back on which is still the biggest fight (financially) in the division. Sadly, the Ngannou rematch probably sells too. Usyk only really has Fury in terms of premium options.
I wouldn’t blame him at all, but I don’t think there’s a a bigger fight out there for Usyk either, so he does sort of need Fury.
Usyk-AJ III doesn’t sell, we know who the better man is. Wilder is cooked so that ain’t a realistic option for him either. There’s no other stars in the division. Where else can Usyk really go?

Usyk vs Joshua 3 would do better then Fury at any point . Lol
Its hard coming to grips about how much pull Joshua has I know , Fury couldn’t outsell Joshua unless Charr was his opponent and it would still do comparable numbers . Lol
:lol1: :lol1:
Keep dreaming you AJ cuck.
AJ couldn’t even sell out the O2 his last two UK fights. Fury sold out stadiums.
On top of that it’s for the UNDISPUTED heavyweight title a huge selling point.
Meanwhile, Usyk has already schooled AJ twice, who wants to see that a third time. BTW do you remember me telling you that was gonna happen and you telling me Joshua would win by stoppage. :lol1:
Why don’t you see if Usyk will fight you in your imaginary BKFC debut? Still not set a date yet I take it?

Yes. Yes I would,
Furys "accident" could be an excuse. 50/50
Usysk using it to not fight would be 100/100 a excuse,
It would be the perfect scenario. Get credit for a win without having to fight. The benefit of the doubt.
I suspect that is the intention of this thread. Planting the seeds of beneficial doubt.
Klitschko's supposed lineage began with defeat of Ruslan Chagaev. It's really not all that impressive.
Ya, Leon Spinks wasn't a remarkable fighter on paper either, but....He was the champ for a spin.

- - Blubber specialty is no show for signed fights.
Usyk has made his big $$$ vs AJ. Blubber ain't worth another look save laughing at his leaking shorts.
Hrg the perfect retirement, ie go out on a win or on his shield against the new young gun like any top heavy champ who ever lived did.
It's a deep cut. Nobody's fault. Jeez.
Fury has a six pack for Pete's sake. What more can he do?
i share the frustration here, but I'm a realist.
History doesn't allow alternatives on this. You either want to wait for your shot at the title held by Sullivan, Corbett, Jeffries, Johnson, Dempsey, Tunney, Louis, Maricano, Liston, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes, Tyson, Lewis and Klitschko, or you don't.
No, I won't blame Usyk in the slightest
just like I didn't blame poor Wladimir for wasting two years of his life waiting for a rematch with the gypsy clown that never happened
This is all on Fury, he's a liar and a cad
In fact, Usyk should just move on already. The match ain't happening anyway.
Fury will find another way to bail out of the may date
But these are not the same things. For the April 2023 the contract was not signed, they were in negotiations. You can't break contract which you didn't sign, no? You can blame Usyk if you want but we basically don't know anything about negotiations except what is let into media. December 2023 contract was actually signed.
Then Usyk was fooling the people (like with his military service) until the very end back then if there was no contract (because Usyk had a WBA deadline of 1 April), which I can't tell because I doubt the contract signing is something they would delay until the latest possible (there are tickets to be sold, book the stadium, let the fans organize their time, so they can come for those who travel etc). So the event failure lies on him anyway.
If Fury cannot fight in May for any reason, he will suffer the biggest fall in history. If he beats Usyk, all of the back and forth could be forgiven.
Academic now isn't it? Usyk's agreed to wait again. Let's hope the sloppy slob finally gets it right.
Yeah I was treating it as a hypothetical. You never know with Fury but I'm reasonably confident the fight will happen simply because of the money involved. I certainly hope so.
He should have a fight before revisiting Tyson though.
This ^ pretty much. I'd have no problem with Usyk moving on for now, but I would be disappointed if he wasn't willing to fight Fury when the cut heals.
They had a contract for April 2023 - Usyk broke it. Fury screwed December 2023. So they were 1:1. We can argue that what happened the other day was Fury's fault. But since everything is fine for May, that means both sides agreed. So Usyk is to be blamed if he walks away because he could have chosen something now and said "Fury will wait after I fulfil my IBF duties" and he would have been reasonable. Because he was given way too many compromises by four sanctioning bodies so far. But this is just a theory, Usyk will not walk away from the fight. Let's just hope he doesn't suffer some injury and I don't mean it in the sense he would cheat, I mean for real - those things happen after all.

Well, he's already recognised by the TBRB and Ring. You and I have had this discussion before, you know my position.
Putting that aside, can you speak to the actual question. How many postponements would you tolerate if you were Usyk?
If I were he? Plenty more.
Walk away? From a shot at the title???? Who does that?
Every champion for the last 24 years has done it. Even making allowances for periods of the Klitschko's twin reign.
We've been one fight away from an Undisputed champion for a long time. No-one has done it. At some point they've all moved on and made other fights.
Credit to Usyk - he seems intent on getting Fury in the ring and is prepared to wait him out.
Meanwhile Fury has shown nothing like the same single minded intent. He took a quick money maker less than 2 months before a signed undisputed fight and messed it up.
Personally I think Usyk was crazy to accept the December delay and is crazy to accept this. After all the delay, inactivity and multiple camps he's going to end up fighting Hrgovic - a fight he could have had in December.
The tail end of Wlad's great career was spent in multiple camps chasing a fight against a supposedly legitimately injured/unwell Fury. Fury should be remorseful about that but I've never heard him say a word.
Here's another future Hall of Famer getting the same treatment.
