Lmfao at a tune up having a tune up
Ortiz isn't the only "tune-up" opponent that has had a stay-busy; Jarrett Hurd also fought recently. PBC's inactivity has forced the gatekeepers/journeymen to go elsewhere.
I'm hearing that it will be Gervonta Davis headlining PBC first Amazon PPV on March 30th!!!
Yeah in a rematch against Pitbull Cruz. What a waste.
Lets hope they at least stack the card so its worth the cost. I don’t have high hopes for that.
I know you're joking, but Ortiz just had a tune-up fight in Colombia......
Really? Wow, the old man plans to make another run at it? He's a skilled fighter but he's ancient and his legs have been gone for a few fights now.
I hope his daughter is doing well and his family is financially set but he probably shouldn't be in the ring these days. Let's just hope he doesn't get hurt.
Nobody wants to pay to see any PBC shit
These American promoters better bend over and offer up the booty to his excellency Prince turkey because nobody is buying their BS anymore!
Return of the HW bogeyman Luis "King Kong" Ortiz in a rematch with Daniel "Big Foot" Martz.
I know you're joking, but Ortiz just had a tune-up fight in Colombia......
vs who?
I’ve mostly only seen people talking about PBC’s PPV. Some people have speculated about it being Tank as the headliner, which obviously is very possible, but of the people I’ve seen, none are really credible sources.
Two opponents mentioned were Haney & Matias, but neither from credible sources either. The Matias tweet did get quite about of traction with people though.
Edit: I’ve seen Frank Martin’s name floating around also
Bud vs Tszyu is a PPV. Idk that there is another PPV involving Tszyu that feels in play for March 30. Idk whats up with Mell rn tho but even if hes good to go idk that I'd be super hyped to put him in the first Amazon PPV after the non performance vs Canelo.
I'd LOVE to see Bud vs Boots but idk that Boots sells enough or is worth the risk for Bud for the upside Bud would get win or lose in that fight.
Given that I've been clamoring for Bud-Tszyu fight ever since Spence match was done, it will definitely be the best case scenario for the main event. That being said I'm also feeling a potential let down is awaiting to happen when Tszyu's opponent is announced to be Erickson Lubin.
Jermell got arrested for assault last month so he definitely ain't doing anything in the first half of the year for sure.
If its PPV & they aren't doing Tank or Bud PBC is fooking up.
Unfortunately Tank's next opponent is guaranteed to flop in terms of PPV because no one he is willing to fight has the pull of Cryan.
I mean, he isn't fighting Haney/Teo/Matias/Shakur/Loma/any legit names at 135 or 140 for sure.
Tank or Crawford.
Tank I definitely expect since it has been about a year since the last match, but who is Bud going to fight in March, especially now that the Spence II seems officially killed and he has no interest in Boots?
Given the rumors, I guess an outside chance of Tszyu but given that he probably wasn't prepping for that until recently with Spence II in the way does he jump in to it now? I'd be happy if it happens but two month from now seems like a bit close for a change of plans.
