Been hearing ramblings that this is a done deal for the AJ - Ngannou fight. Apparently Parker was a back plan but according to Parker, the lines have fell silent. Has anyone heard about this being done?
Would be great, too good to happen, if Wilder gets ko'd, career over. It's slow footed precision and skills against clumsy one shot explosiveness.
With Zhang's massive head, Wilder can't miss, on the other hand, he might be scared to death to throw and be countered. Wilder not hard to hit too so Zhang will land and Wilder's chicken legs might snap. You just don't know who lands first. I think Zhang beats him.
I think that's the problem. This new and UNIMPROVED Wilder is hesitant to throw. One of the commentator's during the fight with Parker said it best. Wilder was fighting like it was Parker with the freak power. It was just so weird to see. His fire to exchange wasn't there at all. I think that awakening stuff he took (don't remember what it's called) took the killer instinct out of him. He's just not the same dude anymore.

That's crazy if they put Wilder in against a dangerous guy like Zhang after coming off the Parker loss. Parker might of lacked the power to really put away Wilder, but Zhang doesn't. I think this is a forced get AJ fight back on track type of deal to get Wilder in, get him a big win and try to get back the AJ fight.
Sounds like a desperate move, but if the same Wilder shows up, how on earth would the result be any different? Like I said, Zhang got power. He'll for sure knock Wilder out. You can't just put Wilder in with a new opponent and he's going to be back to the old. Wilder looked different the minute the bell rang for rd1. He just wasn't himself at all. Like he was out of the ring for so long, he forgot how to move around properly. It was BAD.
Wilder has no other chance, does he? If he wants a redemption, he must fight the highest ranked available guy. This is Zhang.
Nobody will wait for Wilder to fight 3 cans and come back in 2026.

- - Take some notes: Ain't no done deal until the deal is done. Zhang is hot while Deyonce drooling in his own snot, so follow the $$$.
Wilder - Zhang....Done deal?
Wilder's trainer Malik Scott, who has regular articles in this site, would have announced it even before it was being offered. Haven't seen any lately. Where is Malik, by the way?
Wilder could be a good payday for Zhang and Zhang could be a decent comeback for Wilder. Not the best option for Zhang though, but he is age-limited, so if that is not a rumour, but a real possibility - both have to go for it.
Great news if true, but I doubt it.
Wilder doesn't have the balls to take on someone like Zhang, specially coming from a loss
Most likely scenario is, Wilder will fight some random uber driver next and claim that he's back with a vengeance
I think if Wilder decimated a part-time shoe salesman with a highlight reel 1 punch KO an AJ fight could easily be put back table.
Wilder whilst exciting and gutsy (albeit not vs Parker) was/is that biggest of boxingscene cliche's - a hypejob.
I do not think that would work this time. He would have the beat Zhang or Hrgovic...someone big to reclaim any spotlight.
Yeah zhangs going to be ducking below wilders waist and throwing overhand rights
He has quicker hands than that bugged eyed, twig legged 1 trick pony. Wilder always has a punches chance, but at this point, he's better off taking some confidence building fights cause if not, he's gon be Dr. Slept!
This is Wilders only chance to get back in the mix...Imagine beating the boogieman of the HW division. That Puts Wilder and AJ back on course if they both won. If Wilder does NOT take this fight he may as well retire. There will not be anymore Saudi money if he passes this one up.

Wilder always wanted a body on his resume, bet he didn't think he's the one on the receiving end tho lol.
if Zhang follows the Parker game plan, he's gon khtfo
