Just read about a Thai gambler who retired and had the magnets he had placed in his hands surgically removed. He used them early in his career in combination with a loaded dice.
Made me think, what's to stop boxers implanting metal next to their bones? To add some extra power?
Wilder had this planted into his fist and started sleeping people
This has crossed my mind especially since the guy seems unable to hold his hands up to protect his head late in the fight e.g. round 8 against Parker. Also that punch against Helenius kind of looked like if anyone else had thrown it, it wouldn't have had that effect.
Would damage the hands more than anything. The same reason boxers with plates in their face swell up twice as fast as before. Not good to have foreign objects in the body when dishing out or receiving blunt force trauma.
Surely not if the metal just adds weight to your fist and isn't on the impact surface?
