Pick any other weight class in mma and have the champs fight the top 5 boxers in each weight class and they would die in the ring.
The fact you're having to stipulate "top 5 boxers" and "not HW" is in its self pretty sad honestly.
I think Alex Pereira would have a chance at maybe getting some wins vs the current cruiserweight top 10. Some of the smaller weight class guys like Holloway could probably pick up a few wins over top 30 guys. Nobody is likely to "die in the ring" considering every top 5 boxer in every weight class has padded their record with plenty of boxers who are worse than those MMA guys.
You keep using the The hasty generalization fallacy. Using one guy to make a generalization. Holy **** you're a moron. What the hell do you think Ngannou's main discipline in the ufc is? It's boxing. not kickboxing. All mma fighters train boxing. It's one of the discplines besides wrestling and jiu jitsu. He's been an mma fighter He employs professional boxing coaches to help him box when getting ready for fights. He hardly uses his legs. He's been training boxing with small gloves for 20 plus years. He's an elite level striker. Once again using the hasty generalization fallacy. Just because he had a couple submissions and took a fighter down dosen't mean he excels in wrestling. He's a horrible wrestler and grappler. 60 percent of his wins are by ko with his fists. And his recent wins in the ufc are all ko's. He's a boxer first.
Ngannou has been training striking for 10 plus years. You don't need to train a pro boxing fight to actually train boxing. You do know that right? You do know that mma fighters hire boxing coaches you turd.
And Clearly you don't understand mma. Let me explain moron. Just because a fighter trains in mma dosen't mean he excels in all 3 disciplines. Example. Conor was horrible in wrestling and submissions. He primarily relied on his boxing skills. Same with Francis. He's horrible in wrestling and grappling. He's a boxer first and kos people with his hands. The fact that they can wrestle and grapple dosen't mean they do it well. Their main focus is boxing.
Holly holmes had 33 boxing matches. She had 3 kickboxing matches and she started boxing before kickboxing. Owned again you turd.
The fact that someone can be an mma champ with just a couple years of mma training shows how inferior the sport is to boxing.
Okay you changed my mind, you can beat the heavyweight champion of the world to a pulp and get robbed with part time boxing and no prior experience.
Again with the 20 years of training, learn math, dude didnt know what mma is 11 years ago.
Holly holm started kickboxing at 16yo, her wiki page literally states incomplete record and you went with it, only a scroll up and you realize she has more than 20 pro kick boxing matches and won international amateur kickboxing tournaments
And if you really want to be technical about it, ngannou applies a kickboxing strategy not a boxing one, all of his fights except for one make use of heavy leg kicks.
Keep bringing conor but the dude has a karate stance using spinning kicks and shit, same with ngannou, dude uses heavy kicks and has professionnel kickboxing matches, no boxing up until fury.
Both boxing and mma are inferior sports to wrestling, no one became olympic champ with 2 to 3 years of training unlike boxing if you're talking difficulty, if you're talking viewership and revenue? Yeah UFC is vastly superior.
Again, enjoy boxing for what it is, boxing.
See? Stipulations!! You're doing exactly what i just said.
Besides, Ngannou trained boxing for one single year at 22 before stopping, and picking it back up at 26/27 after he immigrated but got proposed MMA, he picked it up the same year, and won his first bout by an armbar submission, he had a total of 4 submissions, way far off from what you claim, and the reason he won his last 2 fights was because of his wrestling.
The fact you made up the fact that he has 20 years of boxing training when he barely passed the 10 year mark of training period just makes the whole situation even worse.
Holly holm was a kickboxer who tried boxing, again, another false statement by you.
"Tons" all of two or three boxers lol, you brought up mercer KO ing Tim after you claimed that silva beating active young boxer son of the kegend and former champ chavez jr doesnt count, because it doesn't fit your narrative, if you wanted ridiculous wins, i can just throw in Holyfield and roy jones, or even kimbo slice beating mercer.
Again with the wrestler bs, how many boxers won a wrestling match? Wrestling doesn't carry over dumbass, boxing restricts their whole skillset, unlike mma.
No one claimed UFC fighter could just waltz in and beat a legit champ, but the fact you keep adding stipulations whenever a boxer gets his ass beat makes you look like a chump and makes the sport look pathetic, otherwise we wouldn't be getting the mental gymnastics we are having had the Heavyweight division been as legit as it was supposed to be, more athletic my ass.
You seem just as brain damaged as the guy in your pic.

LOL chavez jr who was out of the ring for years and a loose cannon against arguably the best striker mma had of all time. Both were old and retired.
No one proclaimed Fury the goat except for m-orons on this forum. I already told you. The exception isn't the rule. You cannot use francis as a barometer. And yes, he's an mma fighter but he dosen't submit you or take you down. He's an elite level striker on his feet with his hands. That's still boxing. He's been striking for over 20 years.
Tons of boxers did well in mma. Mercer koed former champ silva with zero mma fights. Holly holmes went on to destroy rousey after a career in boxing. Wrestlers go to mma because they know they can be sucessful. They'll die in a boxing ring.
See? Stipulations!! You're doing exactly what i just said.

Anderson silva outboxed former champion chavez.
The self proclaimed goat needed 10 rounds to get rid of an mma fighter that has a round and half max in the tank.
The "best heavyweight" got gifted a decision against an 0-0 37 year old non boxer.
Not a single boxer is lasting a minute in mma, and stop it with the bs that he was boxing for 20 years, he wasnt, he's an mma fighter that does mma.
It's kinda pathetic that you have to put so many stipulations just so the boxer can get a win, first it was they'd get destroyed by bums, then top 20 then top 5 then champs, then oh pick another division.
Pathetic.
Enjoy boxing for what it is.

MMA GUYS? You mean when connor got stopped by a guy who's 2 weight classes smaller than him and past his prime and hasn't stopped anyone for a decade. lmao. ONE GUY. You trying to show one guy as an example of what happens when an mma guy goes to boxing is ****ing hilarious. He's the exception not the rule. He's an anomaly. He's been boxing for 20 years. His whole game in mma is knock you out with his hands. He's an elite boxer. He almost never goes to the ground.
Pick any other weight class in mma and have the champs fight the top 5 boxers in each weight class and they would die in the ring. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AN MMA FIGHTER TURNS PRO.

People are still losing sleep over this smh. Tyson Fury is one of my favorite boxers but i can admit hes a disgrace to what most of us consider an athlete to be
Most people dont question his skill level but whether you love or hate Floyd Mayweather he always showed up in great shape and ready to execute his gameplan
Tyson Fury has shown up to several of his fights looking like he just ate a buffet. And i believe Tyson beat Francis but barely. I had him winning 6 rounds
This isnt an embarrassment for the sport of boxing. Put the blame on Tyson and his lack of discipline
the same reason you play soccer your whole life and can never be a boxing champion.
I can assure you one thing though, no boxing champion can go to mma and become a champion, whether it's two or 5 fights.
We've seen what happened when mma guys came to boxing against the so called best.

there's a reason why d 1 wrestlers and kickboxers go to ufc and mma over boxing. They'd get put in a coma against the top ten in a boxing match. A d1 wrestler with a couple fights can be an mma champ but not in boxing.

Ciryl is also a master kickboxer. And that's the point. They do a bunch of arts and don't excel at one.
So Ciryl is a "master kickboxer" who doesnt excel in any one area? what?
Name me one d 1 wrestler who became a top ten boxer in a couple of years. I'll name you tons of d 1 wrestlers who became top level ufc fightters.
Uhh maybe because one sport allows that D1 wrestler to use his wrestling skillset and the other doesnt? also wouldnt you say D1 wrestlers excel at wrestling? I thought nobody excels at any one thing in MMA?
Mma isn't on the level of boxing when it comes to talent and atheltcism. It's levels below
Not sure this is really the time to be saying that considering Ngannou/Fury......
How exactly do we quantify "talent" here? wouldnt MMA fighters be favoured to beat boxers under most rulesets? seems kind of weird to say someone is less talented than the person whos ass they just kicked...
As far as athleticism goes, again not sure how we quantify that considering boxing doesnt really allow a fighters athletic ability to be expressed in the same way. You're not seeing Showtime kicks, Rampage slams, Michel Pereira type shit in boxing are you?
yes its almost like one sport is called mixed martial arts and allows the entire skillset of a bunch of different combat sports to be used in it or something....
his last mma fight lol......

clearly you have no idea how to score a fight. There's 12 rounds in a fight. You can do more damage in 4 rounds and still lose 8 rounds and lose the fight.
ya that was a 12 round fight genius.

yup 4th mma fight.
A ufc champ beat the sitting heavyweight champ in his first boxing match.
Lmfao that's next level.

that "pro wrestler" was also a division 1 national hw collegiate (real) wrestling champion with a record of 106-5. He was also an absolute freak athlete, probably even more so than ngannou.
I never understood the "brock won the ufc title so mma is a joke" argument. Even ignoring that he was fast tracked because of his name during a weak era, or that he took some severe ass kickings and his actual record was 6-3, like.....how many hw boxers would you actually favour to beat him in a fight?

I am never incorrect on this subject son.
I've been watching top fighters train since before you were born.
Ngannou was always nothing but a Boxer, from the time he was a kid, and he has stated frequently, that it's all that he's ever wanted to be. As a youth, Ngannou trained and was coached at the Tiger Boxing Club in Bafoussam, Cameroon. All of the training that he's undertaken to succeed (Dominate) in Mixed Martial Arts under coaches in Paris, Didier Carmont, Boxing, and Fernand Lopez at the MMA factory; was purely designed to accentuate his boxing abilty and thwart attempts to disrupt his boxing by superior shooters, grapplers and kickers; and there was NEVER any attempt to turn him into a Wrestler or Kickboxer; and with only the possible exception of the far smaller Fedor Emelienenko; no Kicker/Grappler/Shooer has ever matched his success in MMA; except only perhaps, for Stipe Miocic, who also claims a Boxing Base.
If a fighter has a Freestyle wrestling base, or a BJJ base, nobody seems to object. But let a Boxer take his paycut due to confidence issues and wreck ****e in MMA, and MMA-Only fanboys are immediately defensive about it.
What's up with that?
Learn and grow!
All this said, however; Fury didn’t take it very seriously, and deserves all the ribbing we can throw at him.
He goes into title unification as a man in need of redemption.
did this autistic savant just write a fantasy novel and expect me to read that chit?
quote the source
incorrect. he was digging in a sandmine in his youth. you are making things up.
he never trained martial arts until he was in his late 20's. the fact is he never had an amateur or pro boxing match. everybody has thrown punches on a punching bag. that's very far removed from having an amateur pedigree to a pro pedigree.
I am never incorrect on this subject son.
