The days of employing guys who will ask tough questions and tell the truth are long gone unfortunately. It’s just company men. The media need access so they won’t step on the promoters/fighters toes.
I know why, and gifts, front row seats. Actually they're the PR of the ones that can pay.
So biased, why can't they be honest? Because they all are getting backslash for their comments. I think the boxing media is as corrupt as the alphabet soups organizations, and of course the promotional outfits. The media should be asking these questions, they should be asking the fighters tougher questions, but no, instead the promoters, the sulaiman's of the world, etc are using the media for their own agenda. Everywhere you look is corruption.

ESPN are always all for the house-fighter. Bradley is to Top Rank what Bellew is to Matchroom or Nelson is for Sky.

He won the fight for sure, I was annoyed by the commentator mostly, if I wasn't watching the fight I'd have thought that shakur was painting a master piece.

Neither were landing much but Stevenson was landing more. 8-4 is about as close as I can see it.

And others had it closer. The new Nicolino Locche, winning rounds without throwing a punch.

Shakur won clearly. He easily won 7 rounds. I had it 117-111.
Others had it wider.

If you score it round by round, I find it hard to make any case DLS won or was even close to winning. I think you have to be generous to give him 5 rounds. I only gave him 3, 10 and 12.
That's fair. I think both fights were ones where you can come to very different conclusions and still be reasonable.
I thought back then that it was going to be a firefight, agbeko had a warriors reputation and Rigondeaux was a counterpuncher, all the ingredients for a good fight. I was wrong.
Yeah same here. That’s what I was getting at, people were expecting a statement performance from Rigo but the fight up hurting his reputation, commerciality etc. Rigo didn’t headline in the US again until he fought Loma.
Shakur is going to have to up his game or he could end up in a similar position.
I was never comparing them or the fights stylistically as I pointed out. Agbeko is a small, compact orthodox fighter, De Los Santos is a rangy southpaw, it goes without saying really.
All I was saying was Shakur was given an opportunity to shine but failed to entertain, just like Rigo did against Agbeko.

I think the official cards for Stevenson-De Los Santos were accurate. I don't thing anybody wins a fight easily if they're petrified to engage.
Nav-Conceicao was an interesting one because it can be interpreted a few ways but i had the Brazilian edging it. It was weird how his awkward 1-2 kept landing over and over again but him staying busy made it so Vaquero really couldn't get going.

Navarrete often fights at the level of his opposition. It’s gonna cost him one day.
Conceicao disrupted Navarette's typical routine and rythmn. That was the Brazilian team's game plan and it worked, albeit in a grueling manner. Didn't care much about that fight and I would have had any problem seeing Conceicao's hand raised in that fight.

Both fights were stinkers, when I said there's no comparison is that dls a least tried to engage in some occasions, agbeko was the running man vs GR. At the end of the night borh fights were horrendous.

Two undefeated fighters who TR were/are trying to build, who failed to look impressive in a prime time main event. Yeah no comparison at all. :lol1:

There's no comparison with this fight. And yes the fight was a stinker

Rigondeaux won easy, he didn't lost a round, shakur left some doubts. I think the fight with nonito was his coming out party, I think agbeko lost his balls with mares, never saw him so scared.
Both won clearly. There’s no way you can give that fight to EDLS.
