UFC and Dana White basically have a monopoly of world class MMA fighters.
Fighters who demand to be treated as world class athletes are treated will be attacked by Dana White and the UFC.
Francis Ngannou had to leave the UFC and come to boxing to make big money.
UFC will never allow MMA to be as big as boxing as long they are the premier organization.
They will keep fighter pay low and most importantly they will never allow a fighter to become bigger than the UFC.
They have taken the Vince McMahon WWE playbook to combat sports.
For this reason boxing will be bigger for the foreseeable future because in boxing the fighters have way more leverage.
in the UFC, the best has to fight the best.
in boxing, it's optional.
you can hold onto a title for 10 yrs fighting scrubs once every 2 years. Charlo. boxing is the biggest joke there is.
I think boxing is more popular worldwide. Maybe not in the US. But among Hispanic Americans it is probably more popular than MMA.
In Canada MMA is more popular.
Do you think there are more people around the world tuning in to random Top Rank, PBC, Matchroom etc cards on a typical weekend than a UFC card?
Fury beats Ngannou 10 rounds* to zero in a rematch. Fury expected to KO him with one shot (wtf) and didn’t prepare for a real fight. Could have jabbed, moved, and barely been touched.
Would Novak Djokovic need two matches to beat a recreative tennis player clearly?
The one positive of this Fury-Ngannou farce is Ngannou PROVED that slave trading, woman beating, coke head degenerate gambler WRONG.
Ngannou said to Dana he was worth far more than Dana was offering and he sure was right. He made millions against Fury, he’ll make millions in a rematch or a fight with another HW and Dana won’t get a penny of it. As much as I hate crossover boxing, I am glad that scumbag Dana got burnt.
Boxing isnt even bigger now, it hasnt been clearly bigger than MMA since the mid 00s.

if Fury fought Ngannou in a cage match, how long do you think it would last before Fury is unconscious?
Ngannou stood with Fury for 10 rounds with pillow gloves under boxing rules and beat his ass.
