He still lost and he lost to a guy who literally rolled out of bed to collect a paycheck. Other than the knockdown, he barely did anything. He won maybe 3 rounds tops. He gets put in there with Wilder and Wilder is gonna KO him in one.
All credit to Ngannou for absolutely exceeding expectations. Like, crushing them, in that way that Ngannou seems to have. But I also think a big factor is that Fury has been hugely overrated. I've said before that his new style is very hittable and gasses out very quickly. He was exhausted after 3-4 rounds in Wilder 3 also. I think he's also pulled a Canelo and bought into his own hype. He better train HARD for Usyk, because after that performance, it's starting to look like he's going to get a lesson in levels. If he even is willing to get into the ring with Usyk. I highly doubt Dec 23 is going to happen now.
People act like Ngannou was baiting Fury into traps and setting up shots. Sure he has a decent chin and can punch but Fury got caught by a counter left behind the ear after two straight one twos. Even when he went to his corner, Sugar told him to stop trying so hard.
Yes Fury looked like garbage and in doing so made Ngannou look good but Lennox looked like garbage against Vitali too. Fighters do have off nights especially when they mail it in
Idk. He showed he got a hell of a chin, good timing, power. He wasn't biting on a lot of Fury's feints either. I'm not really convinced he can't succeed on a pretty decent level in boxing.
he is boxing's current HW lineal champ after beating Tyson Fury's head in.
90% of boxing fans had Fury as the #1. there is no walking this fact back.
Ngannou is the champ. give your respect.
I think what we have here is a case of Ngannou performing at his very best, and Fury performing at his very worst.
Now, Fury can box, but everyone has an “off night” it takes someone VERY special to perform at the top of their game consistently every single time out. I’m talking Manny Pacquaio’s run from ‘08 - ‘11 type of special. Fury hasn’t shown that.
We don’t know enough about Ngannou to say one thing or the other. It was one night of boxing and he probably performed at his peak. His next time out he might get stopped in 1 rd. There just isn’t enough data for us to say one or the other.
I am not a Fury fan to start with but I am just calling out the BS I am seeing. He pulled out of a second fight with Wlad, took 2 years off and drew with Wilder. In their 3 fights Wilder knocked Fury down what, 4 times? So yeah I am not saying Fury is the best and I think even Zhang beats Fury.
But I am just calling it like it is...Fury did not train for this fight and still won. If it was not for the knockdown, he wins 98-91 according to one judge and Boxingscene. So if he did not get knocked down, it was a glorified sparring session.
I don`t give a damn how much he trained, his unprofessionalism is not my problem.
Do you think Novak Djokovic would struggle in a tennis match against a recreative player, even without a serious preparation?
He is probably not, but neither is Fury.
Fury`s claim to fame is beating Klitschko, Whyte and Wilder, 3 guys in 10 years.
You see, I have my doubts that Fury is even top 5 now. I must see him beating somebody. I will repeat, his last legit fight was Whyte 18 months ago.

Why do you think he just rolled out of bed and didn't train? Were you with him?
He didn't look any different to when he fought Wilder in the 3rd fight.
I do not need to be next to this guy to see what he was 8 pounds heavier than his heaviest fight.
People are going a little over the top probs all the casuals who think if you knock an opponent down and you don't get knocked down you automatically win i have heard people actually say such stupidity irl it's cool though they don't know better. Fury looked like **** though he should of beat the **** out of Francis so he kinda brought this criticism on himself
Tommy go knocked down by Paul, but still won that fight by a lot. This was no different. Tommy just naturally sucks
Is the buster Douglas win against tyson seen as a win or do you not count it because tyson rolled out of bed for that one
Everybody knows Tyson was on another planet in that fight and was partying more than he was training. A motivated Tyson does not lose that fight. Stop hugging nuts already
