Canelo stated in an interview that the fight hasn't happened because 'they made it difficult' 'wanted too much'
There is a video of Bivol's promoter saying that they haven't heard from Canelo's people since the fight, no negotiations, no offer, nothing.
"How can they say Bivol asked for too much when they haven't even asked what he wants?"
And what his purse for that mega fight no one watched? How come he’s having issues finding an opponent now. He should have cashed in after beating the P4P top dog. How’s that worked out for him?
He lives in little Canelo's steroid balloon head rent free so I'm sure he enjoys that.
Canelo will never ever fight Bivol again. He'll posture until retirement but never commit to anything. Bivol has his number any day of the week and Canelo knows it.
Canelo isn't P4P top dog either.
Remember when the haters were all saying that Canelo was the one behind having the rematch at 168?
I said then, and I'll say now, no way does Canelo risk rematching Bivol at 168, because then he loses all his belts, and has no excuses left for losing to Bivol, and no leverage to get other fights. Fights should be his mandatory Davids, then Beterbiev, if he's really fighting for legacy.
the endless chirping on a boxing forum won't do anything to make the rematch happen, because none other than canelo himself knows better than anyone else in the world that he will definitely lose on a rematch with bivol regardless of being done at 175 or 168. However at 175 he had a valid excuse of being too small and too weak for that division (which is true, he is indeed too small and weak to fight the best of 175) not to mention owns no belts to lose, but when he inevitably loses to bivol in 168 then not only does he lose his excuse of being too small and weak, he will also lose all his belts as well which will be too much of a damage even for a guy of his popularity. therefore he absolutely must make whatever reason possible in order to duck the fight, which makes sense from a business standpoint because even canelo doesn't want to beltless as it will hurt his market value.
The excuse can be anything even if it is bluntly false, as long as it sounds sweet enough that his fans who drops the money accept it..."oh the money ain't worth it (even if bivol somehow marries the princess of saudi arabia and hypothetically offers him 100 million canelo still won't accept it)" "oh canelo won't get credit if he wins at 168 (he won't win regardless of 168 or 175 but who cares he can't lose again to a guy if he never fights him)" "there are more sweet sounding names like bud that will be more popular (because he's a bigger celebrity than bivol but a much weaker opponent in comparison)"...forget what envious haters say, they aren't the ones that makes canelo rich, it is his fans who believe he is the best of 168 lbs.
i made a thread about this earlier months back where i said bivol brutally owned canelo by willing to drain himself to fight canelo at 168 lbs just to get the belts and make history and canelo refused. I've never seen a fighter do that in the history of boxing.

bivol got another big fight right after schooling clenelo. he schooled another
mexican fighter in undefeated gilberto ramirez in saudi arabia. your tiny brain forgot about that. only reason that bivol doesn't have a fight scheduled so far this year is because he wasted his time with that cowardly ginger who most likely never intended to rematch bivol in the first place. now clenelo is out here making excuses for that loss like a punk. where is that mexican pride?

On what planet is Bivol in a position to make offers? B side accepts the terms not makes them.
Bivol was offered the rematch at the same terms as the first fight. He turned it down.
Canelo wins at 168 they will say Bivol was weight drained.
Good luck to Bivol who is still struggling to secure his next fight despite his big win while Canelo just pulled another $50 million last night. Levels. bivol got another big fight right after schooling clenelo. he schooled another

it's so weird how fans are all caught up in the negotiations like they are getting paid. i DGAF about what they get paid or who is the A side just make the best fights. when it comes to competition MMA is head and shoulders above boxing, they have the top guys fight each other on a regular and none of this cherry picking BS.
Why is everyone so interested in this rematch? Canelo lost comprehensively, I don't need to see it again. Canelo v Benavidez, Bivol v Beterbiev please.
Because we just saw Canelo take a fight that literally nobody was asking for before it was announced. He dragged up an inactive dude 2 weight classes, and now is banging on his chest telling the world that nobody beats this version of Canelo. Well guess what, there's a Russian dude that not only beat you before, but he'd like to do it again at your weight class for all your belts. So,does the former Wbo light heavyweight champ want to avenge his loss or not?
He offered Bivol the same amount of money. Bivol can make the same fighitng 2-3 tomato cans. Makes no sense to fight canelo with the same terms and get paid peanuts.
He already beat him, canelo is the one that put the rematch clause, he didn't active it, he let it expired, he is the one butt hurt, he is the one coming with excuses, a couple of millions are not going to make any difference for him, why not pay the guy a little bit more and get him in the ring and avenge the a$$ whooping?
For what? Are you kidding? He got his a$$ handed to him by bivol. If he wants to avenge that defeat he have to pay more, what I think happened was canelo didn't want to pay a penny for another a$$ whooping.

Charlo was a career super welter, and had no business fighting at super middleweight. Fight still happened, and fans are still defending Canelo. Bivol wants the fight, and thinks he can make the weight. Why does Charlo get the fight, but not bivol?
Charlo showed up for a paycheck, that's it.

So it is not a sport to you, it id a bingo game?
What a f moron.
People like you is what have destroyed boxing.
Bivol offered him a catchweight with rehydration clause for Bivol, and he turned it down. Made excuses about how he didn't want to look like he was draining Bivol, but had no problems putting all kinds of constraints on Kovalev and no problem fighting a guy coming up two weight classes. Truth is he doesn't want to fight Bivol again. Notice how Beterbiev isn't on his list? If he wanted Bivol again, he could claim Beterbiev's titles. But no, now he's talking about Munguía, and still "non-committal" about Benavidez.
