Props to Joyce. He could have avoided the Zhang rematch and fight a guy 2 weight class below hom and make him move up to his weight class like what Canelo to a 154lber Charlo coming off a 16 month layoff. but no he ain't like that.
Dunno. crimsonfalcon07 and Verus aren’t impressed. They’d likely prefer not to even have this rematch since rematches are always a waste of time.
Come on now! No one is saying that all rematches are a waste of time. I can think of scores of rematches for the ages. Robinson v Fulmer, Ali v Frazier, Louis v Schmeling, Morales v Barrera, Duran v Leonard...the list is long. The problem I and others have with a Crawford v Spence rematch is two-fold, one is that Spence shows signs of the beginning of brain damage, and two he suffered a terrible beatdown at the hands of Crawford who is clearly the much better fighter. But in the end, it is not up to me or the fans, the fighters will make their own decision.
We need more guys with spine in boxing. Spineless cherrypickers like Canelo are ruining the sport.
Literally no boxing fan asked Canelo to fight a guy 2 weight divisions below him
Brave, Good honest hard working man is the sucker
that is just a fact of life.
Cowardly 2 faced mentally ill sociopaths win again !
that is the law of the earth
It was a bad career move. He put on 25lbs, looked slow and hunched to his right all fight. Zhang needed less time and was confident that Joyce could not improve. He gets credit for trying again but it has cost him his career. Nobody can take steady clean punches from a big strong puncher even if you are called The Juggernaut. It was past Joyce’s threshold.
