pacquiao definitely pummeled thurman in the first half of the fight then the 2nd half mostly belonged to thurman as pacquiao was running out of gas. Pac still had his moments in the later rounds which made him win 7-5. But definitely a close fight, yet still impressive for someone at 40 with a lot of wear and tear. The fight was 6-6. Pac won because of the first round knockdown. Without that knockdown Keith wins round 1 and the fight.

Manny got played for sure. When he was training for " Spence" he was hyped to the gills during camp. I remember his face when they told him Spence wasnt fighting his face just dropped, all that hype gone. With all that said if the same Manny who came out against Ugas, even if it was Spence he would have lost anyway.

Spence fights like a face first mexican fighter (Margarito, Rios etc). he's slow af, stiff and takes shots. Pac would wash him. Not the one that Ugas beat easily, Ugas is just like Spence, Manny years back would have too much speed, the one Spence was going to fight would have been broken in half, Manny didn't like bodyshots or a straight jab which is how Ugas beat him.

Cotto was way better than spence, cotto is a future hof, spence is not on that league he was very hyped by the american media but his resume is pretty mediocre. he has 0 wins against a top-15 p4p fighter

Pacquiao would have beaten Spence. Ugas was a bad matchup for him. Spence would be too wide open and slow for Manny. Manny and his team knew that and I too.

Pac toward the end of his career could've beaten Canelo and Thurman. but Freddy was too mentally ill to see that.

pac was shot by the time their fight was scheduled. but a few years before that i think its a very very winable fight for pac.

When exactly? I'll take Pacquiao pre-Horn fight and Spence at any time post-Horn for Pacquiao and even that may be pushing it. I do think we are going to look back and say Spence probably peaked between the Brook and Mikey fights and that he wasn't the same guy after all the stuff outside the ring. But if you are theoretically looking for a time to match these two up, it's the biggest toss up imo in late 2016, when Spence was coming off his KO of Bundu and around the time Pac fought Jessie Vargas
