All those cruiserweights were historical virgil hills.
Anthony Joshua is a Frank Bruno level fighter. he will never hold the heavyweight belt again.
Usyk is a benefactor of circumstance, 2 division champ. However, he does not actually have any historical wins.
Oh for sure. No heavyweight is really doing anything.. and we’re not getting the best fights either.
It is a horrible situation...I figure we kind of don't blame anyone, or we blame them all.:lol1:
no. Wilder won that fight. Fury's eyes were closed at 5, flat on his back. easy KO win for Wilder.
He got back up before the count... thats allowed. Judges doing bad? thats a blemish boxing fans have to live with.
What a silly thing to say: part of boxing is the ability of a foe to rise... Its part of what makes a great fighter. Wilder never was able to stop Fury, not in this time line.
Look at ANY heavyweight presently... what are they doing? what is Ruiz doing? wilder? Fury? Joshua OH he may fight Dylan again!!! And what of these shining prospects? You can call Usyk out, as a of matter of fact for specific things he has not managed, you can do so even if it is not Usyk's fault... but you cannot expect him to do what others in the division that sit at the top are also not doing and then claim he is the exception. Specifically regarding his lack of activity. it is faulty logic. If I see you and James Toney eating too much at the buffet I can't say "James you gotta go lose the chicken leg" and ignore your chicken leg eating!

But Fury won that fight... forget the judges. Usyk did struggle with Chisora and learned from it. Wilder has not fought much at all, nobody does these days, so it a falsehood to claim he has some superior position than Usyk. If you want to be taken seriously? look at your contention that Wilder is better resumed because of a fight he lost.
But I do agree that Usyk has to have some big fights. They all do! Fury is the worse right now. We need a tourney and something to force these fights to get made.

Wilder being in the hall of fame is worse than Gatti being in there
he's 5th all time in hw title defenses. Now i know he doesn't have any hall of famers on his list, but he has 10 successful defenses. Gatti doesn't have that at any weight.
What has Uysk done since moving up to HW nearly 5 years ago? Beating Chaz Witherspoon, looking average against an ancient Chisora & beating Joshua that no longer has punch resistance since he was flattened and KO’d by an 20/1 underdog Andy Ruiz. In other words, in half a decade.. the only thing he’s done is beaten Joshua?
LOL. Jesus

Wilder's resume is comparable to Usyk in reality.
Take away the hype, Joshua vs Ortiz is a 50/50 fight. Joshua got stopped by Ruiz. Remember that.
Wilder has a longer reign at HW than Usyk does at Cruiser. similar competition.
Wilder's draw with Fury is what makes his resume better than Usyk.

Huck in Germany
Breidis in Latvia
Glowacki in Poland
Hunter in America
Bellew in England
Gassiev in Russia
Joshua in England
Usyk is a great great road warrior. Right now only Inoue has arguments to be ranked higher than him.

Moorer never fought at cruiserweight. I'd say Usyk has him beaten there.
DAMN
MOORER CAME FROM LHW
This proves beyond a shadow of doubt, MOORER >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Usyk
no more discussion
he went life and death with chisora and he arguably lost to breidis.
The issue here is how could he be greater than Michael Moorer, who beat Holyfield??? LMFAO
How could he be greater than Holyfield, who beat Tyson, Bowe, Foreman etc???
he beat Breidis
Chisora never had him in trouble.......life and death ???
holyfield was gifted a decision against Bowe
Holyfield beat a 89 year old Foreman
He toyed with AJ twice .
Nobody wants to fight Usyk....I bet they will when he turns 40
joshua will never be champ again. His ship has sailed.
of course he isn't, but he's still going to the hall of fame and there is nothing you or anyone can do about it. And for the record, I'm definitely not an AJ fan.
Nah, AJ's probably going to the HOF.
He's an Olympic gold medalist & a multiple time HW champion.
Plus, he was the 2nd biggest draw in boxing after Canelo & is an icon in the UK.
Is it his fault the opps he faced dont live up to your almight standard? He cleaned out his division and became undisputed. Moved up and beat who he had to to get a title shot. Then beat aj twice. Im not sure what the issue is. Hes not the reason the undisputed fight didnt happen.
So same thing as what Michael Moorer? Except he beat better opp in Holyfield. Ok then.

I get laughed off the theses boards for saying usyk is overated but he barely beat : chisora Joshua gloowacki Bredis all four fighters who been beaten easily and thoroughly by other fighters
Most the guys Floyd fought had been or were after beaten easier by other men. Does that mean they all suck and he's the most overrated boxer in hostory?
by this very same argument, has inoue beaten any future hall of famers , probably 1
just shows how dumb it is, usyk entered the wbss, beat everyone, now wants to go after undisputed in a division he has no business in
i dont think he beats fury, in fact i see it a mismatch in win probablities, imo usyk has like a 20% chance even tho sports book give him a 30% chance
but to say his resume is the issue when he has always actively seeked the toughest fights kind of disproves any point youre trying to make
/thread
Inoue has beaten 1 twice.
Inoue is a 4 divisional champ.
Inoue is active and has been dominant.
