Ok boxing fans, let your voice be counted.
In your opinion, who won the fight LOMA or haney? or dRaW?
Your opinion maybe as good as mine or as bad as Moretti.... :D
And if you would've read my whole post, you would've seen this: "So, with the benefit of hind sight, I would say in order to win a championship fight, you should beat the champ decisively. That didn't happen. So, harder punches, better body work, and the eye test (look at both guys after the fight).Haney won. We need a change vote function."

This is a load of crap.
"To be the champ you must beat the champ" means the champ retains in the event of a tie. Nothing more.
Take a look at the career of Sugar Ray Leonard. He took the titles from Marvin Hagler on a controversial split (also involving that douche Dave Moretti), and then two fights later retained them against Tommy Hearns because that fight ended in a draw.
Saying that close fights can't be robberies is also nonsense. That logic suggests that any and all 115-113 cards could just as easily have gone either way, which actually just calls every 115-113 card into question (although the ones from this weekend certainly should be questioned). If a clear majority of viewers agree on the result, that's a clear win. In a close fight that could have gone either way, you get an even split of scores either way. If it "could have gone either way" the data should suggest that by having an even split of scores either way, and usually with a wide range of possible scores. That's how data works.
The other Haney hugger argument is "name 7 clear rounds that Loma won.". Flip that around. You can't even find 4 rounds that Haney won clearly. What rounds did Haney win on the majority of scorecards? Compare that to what rounds Loma won on the majority of scorecards. There's about 48 live scorecards from expert observers that were posted. Facts are that Loma won more clear rounds than Haney. Following the rules, that means Loma wins the fight. Even rounds aren't for awarding to whoever you want. If you can't pick a winner for a clear reason supported by the criteria, it's a 10-10 round.
There's no part of the Haney hugger argument that is actually supported by logic and evidence.
This was a close fight. I have a few observations on this thread"
- Most posters that go to the "fanboy" card with those they disagree, seem to be projecting.
- Nobody seems to believe that a challenger should have to beat the champ decisively anymore.
- Body punching is highly underrated, especially with those who haven't been on the business end of them.
u need to watch it a 4th time or 5th
so the first time, draw, second time loma win, 3rd time draw, next haney win

Loma won 115-113, or 116-112 in a fair and just world, where dirty ass Haney actually had a point deducted for all his blatant fouling, specially all the rabbit punches during the clinch
So far, it is still LOMA over haney by a wide margin....

And this is what everyone should see..

I watched it live and I had haney winning.. loma didnt land clean enough.. he was throwing a bunch of pity patty punches but only landed 1-2 out of it and he wasnt active enough. he was aggressive but didnt really use that to his advantage.
I had it a draw with Haney taking the 12th round. This was not a robbery..A robbery is when someone wins 8 or 9 rounds and gets screwed. This fight could have went 115-113 either way or been a draw and it would have been fine. The guy who gave Haney the 10th should never work again though
Haney easy, lomachenko fans declared him the winner before the fight even started, Haney controlled most of the rounds and was landing body shots all night long and have you people seen lomas face post fight? What excuse do his fan girls have for his damaged face? But I'm not surprised, loma fan boys are the worst...remember when they cried after teofimo whooped him? According to them loma was winning 8 rounds hahahahaha and then the shoulder excuse too. The truth is, you gotta earn those belts and you don't earn them by getting hit to the body all night long and your face looking like a mess.
Damn, the poll is far more one sided than I expected.
115-113 Loma.
1- Haney
2- Loma
3- Loma
4- Haney
5- Haney
6- Loma
7- Loma
8- Haney
9- Loma
10- Loma
11- Loma
12- Haney.
Going off memory so might have a round or two mixed up, but I definitely had it level after 6, level after 8 and then had Loma winning 9, 10 and 11 and Haney winning 12.
Devin best round is the 9th. Other than that. I got the same exact card as far as being even after 6, and even after 8. Then I gave Loma 10 and 11 and gave Devin 12..... I had it 114-114
This proves there was no robbery. We are watching the same fight with a 1 round difference. That's fair judging
I had it a Draw
Haney won rounds 1,2,4,7,9,12
Loma won rounds 3,5,6,8,10,11
A 7-5 fight either way is never a robbery.
It's a sign for a rematch ala...Hopkins vs Taylor, Ward vs Kovalev, Canelo vs GGG, Mayweather vs Castillo, De la Hoya vs Mosley.
