Be real. Canelo is just overrated, he's always struggled when he's stepped up in class. The man is only 32. Not that long ago Canelo fans were bragging about how he was finally entering his "prime". Same goes for Loma, too. He finally fought someone that wasn't undersized or overhyped and got exposed.
People act like has has been some dominant force.
The reality is, he has always been beatable fighter, he has 2 official loss, but he also lost to GGG in my book.
To be honest, he only looked like some dominant force when he fought guys like Callum Smith, Saunders and Plant. Even totally washed up Kovalev was on good way to win the fight before the stoppage in 11. round.
That comes with the level of adulation and glorification that Canelo has received like a God. If you underperform, you failed. Canelo may be 32 yo bud his odometer maybe says 38-40?
That stamina issue and not being able to pull the trigger is something that we always see in old fighters and no matter how great a camp they put on. They look fantastic in training and sparring and the night of the fight is like a hidden entity sucked their soul.
I agree with him not looking too good last night he looked old and the longer the fighter went on the more his hairline disappeared lol but to call him trash and all this is disingenuous and unnecessary.
The way people talk, you would think he's been some unbeatable force that's looked spectacular in every fight until a year ago
He lost to Floyd, really lost to GGG twice, arguably lost to Lara, close fights with Trout and Jacobs.
hes a beatable fighter and also capable of looking less than spectacular in victories against solid enough fighters
I have saying this since the first fight watched. Never look to me like a SRL, Tommy Hearns nor Duran. But I knew the team behind his success would make sure he would became an "unbeatable star". By feeding him boxers tailor-made for him. A lot new fans bought into the bs.
Carnela has always been trash. The only ones who hyped him were froid fans to make it seem like he was the only one to beat him.
Now that he has the bivol loss "he's on the decline". Idiots.
No canelo had great timing and minimal perfect head movement along with elite counter punching which in turn made his opponents respect him and give him room to breath and I'm afraid he's just simply lost a step as cus d mato would say

You guys are silly in this thread i'm not even a Canelo fan but to call him trash after his resume is ludicrous especially when you have fools claiming Crawford is p4p #1 but only stepped up once in his whole career vs a brawler in Shawn Porter.

Peds will age you a lot quicker than a natural fighter

I agree that Canelo's stamina is his achilles heel, has been since he was a 20y/o fighting Miguel Vaszquez.
However, Canelo has significant mileage. He's a 18 year pro, he been slowly regressing.
