Damn, Boots now rejecting Vergil’s leftovers. Guess his daddy didn’t like what he saw from Boots in that Karen fight, if he ain’t willing to put him in there with a 35 yrs old Mean Machine. :werd:
Ok. Ima answer your obsessive ass.
I have no idea why you're so upset. You said, "But it was an option that was presented to Villa." It appears you're the kind who can't be man enough to just say it's a mistake and you'd rather turn such a simple conversation into something that's not supposed to be. I was civil, didn't call you names... Oh well...
That's what you wrote. The Rashidi Ellis rematch was an option presented to Villa. Let's wait and see.
Ok. Ima answer your obsessive ass.
How will we See if the Ellis reamatch was an option ?
They'll announce the fight and say he turned down Ellis ?
I'm in certain boxing circles. I usually try not to speak on inside stuff too much.
But annoying posters like you are the ones that make me wanna just be lurking instead of commenting.
He doesn't.
But it was an option that was presented to Villa. Instead his team is pushing for Boots.
So the Rashidi Ellis fight was an option presented to Villa. Let's just leave it at that.
Why is Ellis even in the conversation if it was not presented? If the Boots Ennis was the only fight offered, why even mention Ellis? Forget about Ellis and stop mentioning his name.
Ima mention whomevers name I want.
You're so hung up on this like if you have a personal stake in it.
Without mentioning who my buddy is ( out of respect for him ) i've answered all your questions.
Yet you come back with more questions and comments trying to refute what I said.
If you have some inside info or anything to put what I said in doubt bring it out.
If not. Keep it moving kid
I didn't go back and read my post you mentioned.
But when you pressed me for more details I tried to remember exactly what my buddy said.
Like I mentioned. I wasn't interviewing him.
It was just part of a conversation we were having.
But from what my buddy said.
They were leaning towards fighting Ennis and weren't interested in the rematch with Ellis.

It’s not even about being a hype job or not. Facts are dude ain’t tryin to fight any legit opponents. His team just wants to slide into a vacant belt never thought I say this but got more respect for that silver spoon feed Tim Tszyu than Boots right now. Tszyu at least fought Harrison when he didn’t need to while putting his mando spot on the line while Boots just looking to fight cherry’s
But I thought Mean machine wasnt a credible opponent according to boxingscene.
now that he's been stopped by bud and vergil.... boxingscene says he's being ducked....
I say thank God boots turned down this cherry
That is not what you said in your first post. You said Villa was presented with 2 options, Ellis and Ennis. And Villa is considering the Rashidi rematch, while his team is pushing for the Ennis fight.
Anyways, let's just assume Haymon wants the Rashidi/Villa rematch, while Espinoza wants Villa's team to take the Boots fight. What other scenario could there be? Let them settle it out themselves (Espinoza and Haymon.)
And let's just leave it at that.

i'm not a journalist.
I had a conversation with a buddy of mine who's in Villa's team about it.
He said Ellis's team were pushing for the rematch but they might get Boots.
I didn't ask if Haymon was involved.
But when guys mention PBC it's safe to assume he is.

That still doesn't clarify anything. So Rashidi Ellis was presented to Villa. By whom? Al Haymon?

I don't get why Ellis, who lost to Villa, has that kind of authority to stop such fight from happening. What am I missing?
He doesn't.

Then they need to give him the belt if they're not next
Mean machine does absolutely nothing for Ennis. In fact, aftet Boots whoops him guys like you will then talk crap about how he needs to step up
Why would I talk crap about him? I'm a fan of Boots. It's why I want to see him against better guys.
And they gave him the IBF interim belt, which is huge because last I checked, IBF doesn't do that. He's next in line to fight Spence...apparently, because last I checked so is Crawford, Thurman and Crowley.
Again, another reason to keep these guys active. Have them fight eachother.
What does a mean machine win do for Boots? Absolutely nothing more than a Lipinets win
Crawford, Spence or Ortiz should be next
Anyone else is a step back
None of those WILL be next though, and you know it. Mean Machine scalp would be his best win since Custio. It's a step up over his previous fight, and most of his opponents IMO.
I'm sick of guys just taking bullshit fights once they're in line, and PBC needs to keep these guys active too.
Plus, Spence is finished IMO. And if you mean Virgil Ortiz, his Rhabdo may keep him from even finishing a training camp again.
It's possible Roiman Villa and Rashidi Ellis are signed to Haymon and Al want the rematch, and Showtime's Espinoza can't do anything about it.
If that is the case, then Haymon should let the Ennis vs Villa happen, and force the winner to fight Ellis. If not, then Ennis should start looking for other fights.
Villa vs Ennis should not be so hard to make. And nobody knows what's keeping them so long to announce it. Where is Coppinger?

Yeah, that seems made up and pulled out of the poster's ass. I don't remember 2nd-tier fighters having rights to have rematch clauses. Could be true, though, but it sounds far-fetched.
