I'm talking about before 30 yo. once you're past 30, you are no longer physically prime.
Are there any great fighters with solid chins who get knocked out in their prime?
Oscar De La Hoya stepped in with Trinidad, Mosley, and Vargas. never stopped.
Great fighters usually do not get sparked in their prime.
Mosley never did either.
Vargas is subpar, he was sparked.
Okay, fair points. My point wasn't to say that all fighters definitely get sparked when they step up to elite competition, but rather that their prospects of doing so greatly increase with the level of competition. There are plenty of fighters called great today, but most haven't proved it against the best competition. When I give it some further thought, I would add that it really has as much to do with a fighter's style as it does with the competition. A front-foot pressure fighter like Pacquiao was always more likely to get KO'd than Floyd Mayweather.

i know one who is gonna and thats tank davis
That entirely depends on the competition that said "prime great figher in his 20's" steps into the ring. That's really the end of the thread.

Tommy Hearns got KO'd twice in his prime, because he dared to step up against SRL and Hagler; two of the most dangerous guys in the sport.
James Toney has never been ko'd in his prime neither GGG
James was never stopped outside his prime either same as GGG. those are just ATG jaws.
My argument is if you are a great fighter, it's almost impossible to spark you in your absolute prime.
the point of this thread is that a KO is not a likely event against a prime 20's great fighter. the odds are like 1/100. You can name some great fighters who were sparked.......... but vast, VAST majority were not sparked in their 20's.
You can name A LOT of them getting sparked in their 30's however. this seems to be a massive difference between one's 20's and 30's. your ability to take a punch vastly deteriorates
Was an example really needed?
The most famous fight in history was arguably the Rumble in the Jungle. That fight featured a 25 year old George Foreman getting knocked out by Muhammad Ali.
I’d expect 99% of hardcore boxing fans to know that.
that was run into the ground exhaustion.
not a lights out KO
lol at resounding.
you didnt give a single example of an in prime bona fide great under 30 fighter getting knocked out clean.
that's on you.
It all depends on the level of opposition so therefore anyone can be knocked out at any time your original thread question never asked for examples
Anyone can be knocked out but you can better your chances of not being koed. You can have home advantage, so you don't need to chase a fight as you scared of being robbed by judges. As we know if you overly aggressive for whatever reason then you can be like pac v jmm.
