I don't see any love given to him for what he did last night. I've only see 3 of his fights, but he looks like a legit threat in the division. Spencer had ZERO answers for him. JR made him look like a sparring partner. And afterwards he was still classy about it.
There are a lot of options at 154 lbs at the top even if it's not Charlo...... I hope we see Ramos in there with the top guys sooner than later. He definitely passes the eye test.
Jesus Ramos just kept grinding against hardy contenders at such a young age, yesterday he just demonstrated the difference between a spoon-fed prospect and a someone who puts in the work, would like to see him take his time as he is just 22 years old.
Jesus had defeated:
-Javier "El Intocable" Molina (22-3) had defeated Amir Imam (22-2) and lost to Jose Pedraza (27-3-1) in a competitive bout.
-Brian "La Bala" Mendonza (19-1), he had defeated Thomas LaManna (28-3-1) and Jeison Rosario (23-3-1) while in a three win streak via KO.
Currently, he is going to be fighting Fundora in April 8.
-Vladimir "24K" Hernandez (13-4) had a second wind after moving down from middleweight beating Aaron Coley (16-2-1), a faded Alfredo Angulo (26-7) who came from beating Peter Quillin (who just had a win over J'Leon Love at his prime) and pulled the upset against Julian Williams (27-1-1) at his prime.
-Luke Santamaria (13-2-1) defeated Willie Jones (7-1) who just blasted Ronnie Shields's prospect Derrick Jackson, Luke also defeated well known Welterweights in Mykal Fox (22-2) an Abel Ramos (27-2-2).
-Joey "The Small Town Soldier" (16-0) Spencer an undefeated prospect who was coming from a decent win of Kevin Salgado (12-0-1)
Would like to see him fight at the mean time:
-Danny Garcia
-Michel Soro
-Israil Madrimov
-Carlos Ocampo
-Liam Smith
-Charles Conwell
Love the breakdown of his resume. Didn't realize he was that young. Damn 22?..... Yea, he has a long career in front of him. I wouldn't want him to rush anything, but I do think he deserves an opportunity with some of the best in the division.
P.S. I'm not sold on Danny Garcia at 154.... He hasn't impressed me since he moved up from 140. His win over Benavidez as his intro to 154 was extremely forgettable.
Fundora and Charlo smash him
Zoo would be a good fight
I'm not sure he gets "smashed" by any of them. I think he is a good fight for all of them. Especially Fundora who is long but doesn't use his range to impose his will. Ramos will have opportunities in their match up......
Either way, I would love to see him in the ring with some of the top guys.

Let's be real, we all knew Joey Spencer was a hype job. PBC really tried to make him into a star. I was surprised they matched him up with ramos. They must have given up on him.
Yea, I was surprised when I first heard the announcement as well.
Ramos straight bullied him lol he looked great.
Yes he did. Spencer before the fight was all on the hype that he was the one who asked for the fight and Ramos just "accepted" the challenge as if that was a notion that Ramos not coming after him was evidence of fear or something.
Dude got a culture shock last night....lol

He did look good yesterday, and seems like a great addition to the division.
However, Joey Spencer has been a hypejob for the last 4 years who got beaten by Akeem Black, and received a gift. Which is why they dialed back his opposition for years.....Glad he got exposed, and glad a guy like Ramos did it.
Yea, I remember the fight somewhat....Black hurt him a couple times in that 6 round bout, Spencer got him at times as well.....but something has to be said when a fighter is able to finish the job and not leave it in the judges hands. Black couldn't do that. Ramos didn't face no where near the adversity that Black did in the ring vs Spencer.
