Question for y'all about this 22ft ring tonight (plant vs benavidez)

Credit to both fighters for the great fight. (could have been better with a referee that let's you work on the inside) I can't see benavidez giving canelo to many issues. Footwork and selective aggression ala bivol seem to bother canelo David doesn't excel with either of those attributes and seems to struggle when having to reset constantly which plant succeeded with doing for half the fight. If his stamina was elite he could have made it much harder for David. I can see canelo stopping David with a bodyshot he is wide open for them.

Plant doesn’t have the stamina to make use of a ring like that consistently for 12 rounds. He can work on conditioning all he wants, he’ll eventually plateau. Some guys are naturally made for better conditioning and I don’t think Plant is one of them. Spot on, his legs started to slow down in round 7 I observed.

That's a great point and he does look the better conditioned physically. However his stamina has been questionable and David has said he's consistently doing 15 round spars with 5 to 6 different guys each camp so he's got crazy stamina if that is true. I'll find you the interview. Classic fight! I have seen a few people predict that same thing plant will eventually run out of steam like in the canelo fight. I do feel he may have worked on conditioning better since that fight time will tell. I live in the UK but staying up for this one can't wait. I think the Canelo fight was good preparation for Plant. When you're fighting a cash-cow, the spotlight is scorching and the pressure is on. Plant was probably burning through energy faster than usual. The Benavidez bout pales in comparison.

ring size wont matter if you utilize proper defensive techniques. True slickness cannot be boxed in. Is caleb plant truly slick? is he vanilla ice slick? or is he eminem slick? i think he's more vanilla ice slick than slim shady slick. I know what you mean his philly shell has gaps in it. Canelo used a lot of framing when Caleb was on the ropes this done two things. Kept him in place and created openings around the shell mainly with that left hook he kept landing around plants temple.

Wish it were 18, I hate big rings The last time I remember one being that size was for canelo/Saunders. Billy was using every inch of it once he got tagged by that first bodyshot, you could see him panic when hit until the orbital breakage. I don't know if benavidez has that sort of power canelo does where it seems to make some people panic and back up all night (Saunders, fielding, callum Smith fights) I can't see Caleb doing that. David's an accumulation guy. That's what makes this fight intriguing to me. I can picture so many different scenarios happening but nothing for certain it's going to be exciting.

What time will the ring walks be in the UK? 7 am? Kudos to you! I won't be shocked if Caleb pulls off the win, but I'm also not willing to bet on him. I think it's around 5am main event but I'll be watching from 2am. I'm not familiar with many of the undercard fighters apart from Chris colbert I saw him in a boxing show on Netflix. But I look forward to watching the fights. I won't be betting either its hard for me to pick a winner

I think Plant will look good for awhile, but David will eventually corner him and bust him up. We'll see... Classic fight!
