A few things I noticed about Boots last nite where:
1)His inability to cut off the ring, Karen ran circles around him the entire fight
2)His lack of defense, Karen kept hitting him flush w/t that left hook all night
3)Inability to adapt and change game plans when something ain’t working, Boots was head hunting all night & kept swinging @ air more than once
4)Lack of conditioning, dude has never gone 12th rounds before so is understandable but still kid seem beat after the fight
Again, not hating on the kid but if an unknown Euro able to push Ennis to his worst performance thus far don’t want to see what Bud or Spence do to him. Honestly, the kid needs a few more tuneups against solid opposition such as Mean Machine or Butaev caliber fighters before he fights for a belt.
These corporations RUIN great fighters by never allowing them to learn and adapt to good fighters. They continuously “spoon feed” them till their past their prime and they no longer have the confidence or SKILLS to adapt to another great fighter. Look at the Charlos. They started off as great prospects but never have had one super fight or any trilogies. No one will remember them.

Karen is a veteran and if you know how to fight and don't wanna get KO'd you can easily make it a long night for anyone. Just Like Mikey vs Spence or Pacquiao vs Mosely. I think it's now or never for Boots no need to regress. It's hard to stay responsibly defensive when the other guy is not trying to fight. As far as his conditioning it was superb considering Karen ran all night and Boots tracked him all night with his punches losing no steam
Nobody giving credit to Karen for the performance. Who can fight like him for 12 rounds, his legs never stopped moving and it wasn't only the moving but the angles he would give Ennis especially when he was at the lefty position.
Ennis is ready for any of the champs, a fight with a solid top ten guy where he cannot get away with some of the things that he does to second tier opposition would be good for him. He has to stop looking for the KO and use his skills in a more relaxed fashion.
He has a good defense but does get hit flush at times, I want to see how he will react to opposition.
Mean Machine is ranked #7 by the WBC @ 147 lbs
Butaev is ranked #6 by the WBA @ 147 lbs
ranked top 10 in the sanctioning body does not mean being ranked in the top 10 of the weight class. Stop it

- - Clunky Bootsy need some better footgear, footwork, and training, but hey, ho, the general drift in boxing today is staying relevant for one of the belts to open up for a vacant title.
See Stiverne vs Arreola that yielded the first ever Haitian Hvy Champ propped up by WBC for Deyonce to beat for the few Americans left that follow boxing to beat their chests in American superiority again.
Step-ups not tune-ups
A Thurman or Porter would be the perfect opponents for him to prove he is at that next level. Porter is done and Thurman is gonna somehow fight Spence for all the titles instead
Hasn't he already fought 30 tuneups in a row? He should fight a top 10-15 guy next. But it's not all his fault. Cameron Dunkin is notorious for feeding his guys lots of stiffs to KO to pad their record, like with Brandun Lee. Not saying Boots is a bum but how many more pushovers does he need?
They have to agree to fight him.
Bud and spence? Nope
Ortiz and Stanionis? Nope
Thurman? Ducking
Ugas? Maybe
it ain't much to choose from if we're being honest
High risk low reward, Jaron Ennis has no accolades so if he were to lose his opponent wouldn't get much credit.
First time facing adversity and easy to see he had no real answers
He has been brought up soft and the results show it
Now or never but not wise to be calling out Spence or Bud
Let’s see how he reacts to this and see if the writing is on the wall
Nah taking easy fights the reason why he be doing the stuff he be doing. He fights with complete arrogance, he needs to get used to having to grind out a win and leave his ego at the door
No he needs to fight someone in the Top 10.
He's ranked in the Top 5 at Welterweight.
He has to fight someone in the Top 10. So far he hasn't.

If someone with 30 fights needs tune ups there is something wrong with how they've been managed
I don't care about where people are ranked in a Sanctioning body ranking.
He needs to fight people ranked in the Top 10, by The Ring Magazine. The actual rankings.
Butaev is ranked #9 by the Ring @ 147 lbs
Mean Machine is ranked #7 by the WBC @ 147 lbs
Butaev is ranked #6 by the WBA @ 147 lbs
