Can you give us an example of when refs for 3 fights on the same card seemed like they were doing a terrible job? I doubt it. Crybaby Creating a new name after being banned for racism is bad enough. The refs and judges in every city/state/country that is not under the Nevada or New York Athletic Commission show favoritism to the promoters house fighter 100% of the time, meanwhile in NY and NV it’s “only” 90%+ of the time. The promoters are giving them work and bringing events into their state - In return these guys show favoritism to the house fighters. That’s how this works with every major boxing promotion that takes place in every country in the world and it’s been that way for 100 years. … but it’s Al Haymons fault, right?

They're clearly fixing fights. Refs last night were on the take 100%. ​ I just dont believe that. I think its incompetence, and "house fighter" bias that causes it. I worked close to 100 shows as a promoter, co-promoter, and site coordinator and never once saw anything even remotely suspicious. Maybe in the 1950s bribing officials was common, but I just dont think it goes on these days. The REAL fix is in the matchmaking.......

I don't know if they selected local refs but they were terrible especially in the Villa fight. In the Andrade fight the ref would not allow no infighting. The second they got close he will be calling break.

PBC is dead man. It's just Haymons fighters on Showtime again. Like they were before. Except now they have half of their original dates, the matchups all suck, and PPVs resemble HBO Boxing After Dark telecasts. Tank just put 19k fans in an arena. That is more than any North American boxer other than Canelo can do. You may not like the matches but clearly there is a market for them. They are also exploring a streaming deal. Lets see what happens.

well so far we have seen the ref in the andrade fight "miss" a legitimate knockdown, and the ref in the Ellis fight give 2 long counts to the house fighter. Had this been a Top Rank or Matchroom show, there would already be 30 or more threads talking about Bob or Eddie bribing the refs. But since its a PBC card I only see a few posts, and those are talking about the refs being incompetent, not corrupt. what a surprise....... or not........... and for the record, no I dont think Haymon bribed the refs. Nor do I think Bob or Eddie do it either. I just think there are alot of incompetent officials out there, and nobody ever does anything about it. But its just funny how if there is bad officiating on a Top Rank or Matchroom show, its automatically called corruption here. You don’t make threads like this when bad refereeing occurs on non PBC cards. Bad refs are a common discussion amongst some posters. That Ellis-Villa ref was terrible. He even stood on the neutral corner, counting the KD, to confuse Villa from not standing there. Then stopped counting and told him to come to neutral corner, where he and fcked up Ellis were standing. He stopped at 4 twice and gave Ellis two 15 counts. Ref was trying to save Ellis so bad. But judges had other plans. I was happy af when Villa was announced the winner. Just because of the running, hugging and biased ref.
