According to Kevin iole. Also, only 4,300 of 25,000 tickets were sold. This should have never been on ppv but further proof the sport is dead in the US
If what is being reported is true; Then whoever put this event together took a major L on this fight. No wonder the promoter skipped town while still holding the bag.
Hey Powers That Be In Boxing...
If You Guys came together like NFL and NBA owners you would get BILLIONS in Network/APP money for fights and PPV wouldn't be needed anymore. This is the only Sport still trying to make people pay, While NFL, NBA and recent Currently World Cup...are all FREE! The big games are FREE!
Arum, Al, Eddie, Oscar, Belt Organization Presidents and whoever else, all need to have an Emergency Convention to discuss ways to Fix this sport because things are going in the wrong Direction and more importantly fighters need to understand too, if they want to continue to make great money they have to take Risk
Solid matchup but no it was never something that was going to do big numbers
A holiday weekend event by a bush league promotional outfit who did no marketing. Sucks because it was a superb matchup that lived up to the hype, a true rarity given this awful boxing year.
No you are missing the point. They don't even know who the boxers ARE, so it doesn't really matter if they even know the fight is happening if they don't care whos fighting.
Are you from the area where the fight took place?
Yeah it was a sad turnaround for one of the better fights this year. Whoever is putting this fights together need to hire a professional to advertise such events. Beside hardcore boxing fans no one else in the near areas ever have a clue when fights are happening

I don't understand why these promoters want to lose money. They lost a ton of money. I'm just waiting for another app to come and announce that they will start paying boxers 15 or 20 million a fight to overdo dazn and BLK prime.
Damn, if that's true no wonder the check bounced. They must've lost a TON of money. I have a feeling the Crawford ppv is gonna do similar numbers.
Crawford will cover 18-19k out of 21k before street teams in Omaha. Add in sponsors. I still say they come in around 90-100k PPV. Red but no the worst.
I know the Ennis fans will chime in. Sorry no one knows him either to push it.
Better chance for PPV with Ortiz Jr but Oscar won't submit the paperwork.
The fight is the drunk in Texas but Haymon sees a Fury Wilder outcome to his other ace.

We can only hope
If that happens, maybe this fraud will consider fighting real opponents for a change.
Maybe he'll even try to fight Spence for real now!
Boxing, as a sport, is dying. People are more interested in the UFC because it is more fun and has better matchups. The UFC is a more exciting sport to watch, and the matches are often more evenly matched. Boxing matches can be one-sided, and the fights are often not as exciting to watch. Also, we see fighters hype up ridiculous mismatches (Fury versus Chisora, Crawford versus Avenysian). These are ridiculously mismatched fights and the A sides are acting like they’re giving us a treat. No wonder nobody wants to watch.
