Both guys could have met at light-fly in 2014. While Ali Raymi has the advantage in power, I think the youth of Inoue would have made it competitive, but I still may take Raymi via late KO after 8 in a close competetive bout.
Inoue was still developing at this point in his career, and while a world champion, I don't think it would have fared well with Raymi's experience level.
Additionally, why did this fight not happen after the Raymi-Chocolatito talks broke down?

For real? Ali Raymi RIP, he was a side show and never faced anybody in the 100 rankings, only one guy with 10 fights and all of them from the same borough.
But are you picking him to beat Yoko Gushiken?
Never heard of Ali Raymi, condolences to his loved ones and to him, but as a professional boxer, not sure he has accomplished something of note to say Inoue had maneuvered his way around him. Having beaten ranked fighters that actually held titles like Ryoichi Taguchi, Adrian Hernandez, and Omar Narváez.
Most of Raymi's opponents are undefeated, but unknown and rarely any of them have double digit wins excluding one of them, who has about 10 fights against unknown opponents of the same region.
It's kind of like saying a young Arthur Beterbiev is avoiding the legendary Jorge Kahwagi (12-0, 12 KOs). Well not the same degree, as Kahwagi had paid his opponents to fake being knocked out in fixed matches and had plastic surgery to have fake muscles. Not sure why a successful financial man did all that.
Are you saying the four fight series with Prince Maz isn't as valuable as Ryoichi Taguchi?

I've been thinking about the following matchups
Yoko Gushiken vs Ali Raymi
Myung Woo Yuh vs Ali Raymi
Junk Koo Chang vs Ali Raymi
Do you guys think Raymi runs this HOF level gauntlet?
Raymi was too busy having an epic 4 fight series with Prince Maz. Unfortunately Raymi passed away before Raymi-Maz V- “This time it’s personal” could take place.
Also isn’t Raymi the guy the WBA moved up their rankings whilst he was dead? :lol1:
Yeah, The WBA had him ranked at 11 I believe after his death. Too little too late.

- - Turned the boxing world to Jelly, calling out l'l floydy and the like. Took a terrorist attack to bring him down.
I wish he had gotten a big HBO fight before his death.
Inoue was prospect in 2k14. If a fighter beats prime Inoue right now, he'll earn my respect. It's hard otherwise.
He was a world champion in 2014 dude. He was no longer considered a prospect.
Ali Raymi seems like the only fighter to scare others out of the division with words.
"Champions who don’t want to be KO’d brutally have a choice to vacate the belts and move to another division or retire"
Dude spoke the ****ing truth. Could you imagine him in today's boxing world. I think he would have made much more money and be in much bigger fights.
