he's obviously faster and probably has better stamina. not saying he would win but gaining weight in the 2nd and 3rd fights was not the best thing to do
No diffence. He didn't look faster and the fight didn't go past the 1st so how do we even know he doesn't gas by the 4th like his past 2??
Fury ragdolls and mollywhops just the same. The difference in Wilders speed and stamina at the 2 weights are minimal at best,if it all. Age probably has had more of an effect on those attributes than his fight weight. Knocking out a past prime journeyman who inexplicably walked in chin up,hands down proved nothing other than he can still knock out cans.
If the 4th fight gets made, it is a close fight again.
Wilder knows that he can already deck Fury, so? He would be going into the fight with the same belief that he can deck him and win.
Wilder got away from himself in the second and third fights. The extra weight he gained, for me negatively effected his mechanics.
I don't think that extra non-functional mass improved his power. But it did marginally improve his brute strength. Which was one of the factors that made the fight more competitive. Wilder probably needed more time fighting at the higher weights to acclimatize his body.
I think when Wilder is embracing his own traits, and optimally training. It will help him vs Fury.
It would be another competitive fight, and the odds are? That Fury would get decked again at some point.
But you have to still make Tyson Fury the favorite.
If Wilder keeps on fighting and ups the level of opponents, and getting good wins. That 4th fight with Fury, may well start to gain traction.
I never made a prediction for Wilder vs Helenius, because I was unsure of what condition Wilder would turn up in.
He was light the first time when Fury had only been back for a few months and was probably not at peak condition. Only difference was Wilder made it to the judges so they could gift him a draw.
Fury fought this guy three fucking times man, the third fight was already totally unnecessary.. Lets just put it to rest.
I don’t think so. Fury’s strategy was to lean on him and keep in close distance to avoid Wilder loading up that bomb in his right hand.
Even a lighter and more mobile Wilder would have had a problem keeping Fury off of him and finding his range.
Fury was just a bad matchup for him with how he moves at his size.
He was lighter in the 1st fight when Fury came from cocaine binge and still couldn't win. So no.
Came here to say this basically. I am not sure why people are forgetting that he tried this already.
